Which makes you wonder: Will the reward be the same? Or will it offer more for the challenge? If it's the same, I don't think many would bother.
Maybe higher reward of poetic tomes and a chance for Carbontwine to drop.
That won't happen because having a bunch of randoms trying to work together tightly and in sync never works. Most people just play with a static or FC for hardcore content anyway.
I'll probably get flamed for saying this...
But if they implemented an item level sync to the dungeons we have now, like i100 for the experts we have now... You'd see how different they are lol
By nature having 4 people means a lot less chance to screw something up and thus easier.
It won't work unless the benefits were significantly higher to boot. When Pharos Sirius first came out it was a good bit harder and people would drop party the moment they zoned in. Same with City of Ampador, so unless there is outright better gear than they can get elsewhere the vast majority of the player base will take the path of least resistance every time.
The percentage of the player base actually regularly clearing the harder content in the game is very small, so unless there was a change in this it's not worth further development time to cater to the minority when there are so many other projects they are juggling. Would it be nice, sure. But it would not be in the best interest of a profit-minded company looking to please as many paying customers as they can.
