It's really getting old seeing people copy/paste SE's official statements on how many accounts they're banning as if they are somehow proving SE cares and is doing anything proactive at all. It's like a bad meme at this point. 6913 accounts banned across 63 servers is a little over 100 accounts per server. That is basically a meaningless gesture in the face of how many RMT-related accounts are out there, and this most recent banning wave was actually considerably larger than the usual amount (I assume it was some sort of extra large once-a-year ban wave). The usual amount being banned per weekly update averages out to like, 12 accounts per server. Only a rube thinks that many removed accounts is having any positive impact on RMT activities. Maybe it's just enough to keep them from completely running rampant over the entire server, but it's not enough to actually decrease the amount of RMT out there on any given day. Which is exactly what SE wants. RMT accounts are still paying accounts (even stolen credit cards are still $$$, after all) and eliminating too many would just end up hurting SE financially, not helping them. They ban enough to keep the game playable and keep the QQ'ers from actually quitting, but only that much. When SE starts banning thousands of accounts across all servers daily, on a consistent weekly basis, then I'll believe they are really trying.
