    Power to Invite

    hello. with this 3-strike rule it is rather difficult to get someone to even so much as CONSIDER trying to join an in-progress. i don't care how things are configured. or that we are in another world. please add some way to interact with the outside world. the ability to be able to invite someone to your in-progress would go a very long way. many people are being inconvenienced by the 3-strike rule. in-progress dungeons are dumped ever more frequently when someone leaves.


    EDIT : i think maybe i wasn't too clear on what was being suggested. all i merely wish to suggest is to simply allow a person who is already inside in an instance the ability to invite a player who is not inside the instance.

    P.S. also sorry about the 3-strike thing. it is irrelevant considering you can indeed just enter the dungeon and leave without any penalty what-so-ever.

    it doesn't matter if it's only 4-man content. this 3-strike is a huge deterrent that prevents many people from even so much considering to try and join an in-progress. this deterrent inconveniences many people. ever since its implementation i have seen so many many more dungeons dumped when something like a tank or healer leaves. in-progress dungeons where someone leaves almost never get finished anymore. besides, what difference would it make if it was an 8-man? other then that MORE people are inconvenienced by wait times up to and over 30minutes. what difference would it make if you can invite to an 8-man to also allow invitations to a 4-man?


    P.S. again sorry about the irrelevant mention of the 3-strike rule. probably just my imagination on the more dungeons getting dumped thing. but for some reason it really does seem like more get dumped as of lately.

    Maybe I am just too concerened about roulettes and giving ppl easy access to replace ppl they don't like / don't live up to their standards.

    yeah. i can understand that. people already abuse vote kick enough as it is. i just simply hate seeing dungeons that take some people up to and over 30minutes to queue for constantly getting dumped whenever a tank or healer decides to leave. they could maybe put a daily limit to vote kick instead of the current timed limit? i dunno. :/

    It would be nice to have a notification in the duty select screen IF parties are in progress and need your current role.
    For me - if I were to check the duty screen and could see there is a low level duty in demand of tank or heals, I'd most likely jump in.
    Granted, tanks/heals will snipe the status to get their roulette done asap, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing.

    I don't really get the problems involved here with the 3 stike thingy.

    What does the 3 strike rule have to do with in progress runs? You click commence and have a look inside to see what is happening. If it's dead you can always abandon and close the run. If anything it means more people join to finish the run because they can't abuse withdraw looking for a 2/3 run or something. You have made a lot of threads on the new DF rules i'm guessing you are one of these people who wants to abuse withdraw and are upset that you can't. The only people complaining are the ones doing something wrong.

    well if you don't enter the dungeon and simply hit withdraw it will still count towards your penalty. and yes it is true you can just enter and leave if this is not the in-progress you are trying to help someone with. but then what? does the person trying to help keep trying this?

    again, i do understand that allowing this may cause more people to abuse the vote kick system. like previously mentioned by Spoekes. but maybe there is a way to prevent this somewhere.

    what about allowing the invitation only after someone leaves on their own accord? it would be at least half useful. or maybe only allow the invitation like 3~5minutes after the kick?

    no. that's not at all what i am getting at. how would allowing us to invite a specific person to an in-progress we are currently inside allow me to abuse withdraw?
