Expansion release !

So i just started playing the game and i heard that there is a new expansion coming at out at spring ! So anyone know if that is may or somethjing like that i mean early summer or in the middle of spring bacause i really want to see some of the content of this game before the expansions come out like some primals and some raid bosses like shiva ! Also i want to get my relic weapon and all that and i would not be worried as much but i do not have a lot of free time and I am planning on reaching max level in a prosses of a motnh or so depends on how long it takes and i am afraid then when i do the expansions will already be released or almost there ! So anyone know anything ?

An offical release date has not been given for 3.0 (Heavensward) however their will be a few patches coming out before the expansion to conclude the 2.x story.

2.5 (Before the Fall part 1) should be out by the end of this month.
2.51 will introduce the casino like place with games and chocobo racing called the Gold Saucer (which should come out sometime in Feburary)
2.55 (Before the Fall part 2) will conclude the story (which should come out sometime in March)

There will be plenty of time to experience all of the story content and work on your relic. It all depends on how you spend your time. If you stay goal focused and spend a lot of time playing, there is no reason you can't finish all the content available.

Just an update for other new players who might be interested. This was just announced:

2.5 - 20th Jan
2.55 - late March

Give it another two months so the expansion should probably hit in May or June.

Unless you really play very casually (like two or three hours per week), you should be able to experience at least the full main story plus all the side boss fights and 4-player dungeons. Raids take more time investment and some people prefer only to raid with friends so that side of things really depends on the player.
