PAYPAL NOW AVAILABLE AS A PAYMENT OPTION AS OF 01/15/2015

Currently only available for purchasing crysta at the moment. Will update again once its available as a method on Cash Shop

Since 01/12/2015, I have been fighting with 401 payment errors while trying to buy some dye off the cash shop.
I'm using the same credit card that I use for my subscription and its also a card that Ive used on the cash shop in the past (to buy fantasia/eternal bond/etc).
Despite all my efforts, the transaction wont go through. Nor will 2 other cards (that have also been used in the past - on my husbands account).

Myself and I'm sure many others have had the same issues.

Can we please have an update on Paypal!!! We've been waiting since July, 2014 for the UltimatePay/Playspan option replacement to get sorted out. Paypal is offered on every other MMO's arsenal of options and its already offered on the SE Stores. Please it needs to be a staple here too!!

We understand the frustration that the removal of the PlaySpan, and by extension PayPal, billing option is having on customers that relied on it for paying for subscription fees or for the optional services like retainers.

We are currently working on implementing a PayPal payment option and we hope to have this up and running soon. In the meantime, if you do encounter errors when attempting to register your credit card, please contact our Support Center for assistance.

Update: I would like to offer a few different methods of payment that could be used in lieu of paypal.
-Offer Crysta cards (similar to Game Time cards)
-Offer an option to convert game time cards to crysta
-buy crysta digitally off the Square Enix Store

Don't think Japanese company such as se wanna deal with PayPal yet they forced people to use click and rob me shitty company . Just buy gift card , wish PayPal is used but shame tsk tsk.

If three other normal credit/debit cards arent working that have worked several times in the past, I am not taking the risk of a Gift card from visa, etc. We shouldnt have to jump through hoops to pay for things. Japanese company or not. If you are going to offer a game in another country then you must be able to accept that country's currency and payment formats. I could understand if it was an issue on my banks end, but it is not. These are three different cards, from three different companies, and ALL of them have been used successfully in the past to pay for both my sub and cash shop items. The most recent usage was two days prior to the error. My Subscription was taken out off the card that I was originally trying to use on the cash shop. So, there is no excuse why it isn't working. Until this is resolved, I will be bumping this thread. Everyday if I have to, to bring it back to the forefront of important topics.

I'm not even asking that they use paypal directly. Find another provider who has the option of accepting paypal. Just like they had with UltimatePay.
And failing that, FIX THE CURRENT PAYMENT SYSTEM.

Then only offer Paypal to the accounts registered under an NA/EU, problem solved. Different regions, different methods of payments.

PayPal can be used in Japan with funding sources Visa, MC, AMEX, JCB, and Discover. There is currently not a means to use a Japanese bank as a funding source. They can receive funds from a very large amount of payment types and withdraw to a local or US bank.

When I pre-ordered Type 0, the shopping cart service they used has PayPal as an option. It was setup with Express Checkout and created a billing agreement through PayPal to charge me when they actually shipped the product for release this Spring. The checkout is much better than it was when they had Digital River /puke

Considering the amount of hassle you have to go through as an Ebay seller using Paypal if someone decides to contest payments, I know exactly why SE doesn't want to deal with them.
