I'm still annoyed that the Ultimate Game Time Cards went away, that's how I got my Crysta.
Saved me the route of putting in CC information and would let me easily pay month to month if I felt like going two months consecutively. Now I'm going to have to continually buy 60 day time cards from Amazon because the time cards aren't sold anywhere near me.
What sucks the most, is that I didn't have steady extra cash before the UGC Cards went down, so I couldn't stock up on many for the next several months and convert them to Crysta before it all went down.

Reasons why putting dye on the cash shop for $1 was a mistake.

1. Some credit cards don't accept $1 charges
2. They probably knew this would happen to some people and it forces them to buy 5-10 dollars worth of crysta.
3. It's blatantly nickle and diming people.

Fixed, the rest are inactive accounts or accounts that didn't make it past their free 30 day trial. But yeah, they really should add a Paypal option back, if anything it would increase their actual subscribers or at least make a good chunk of those 2.5 million registered accounts actually be able to sub or renew.

would be really stupid of them not to since EVERY single billing company I know of attemps a $1 charge to validate the card.
I would most definitely hunt down these cards so I knew which to avoid like the plague.

This is actually changing since processors are now charging extra fees when auths are not captured or voided. The industry is changing to $0 auths which only verify basic information like billing address and CVV. This is still facing a similar issue though with credit card issuers declining $0 auths. It may change in the near future though since this is the way payments are trending.

Heres a question. I know the 60 day time card does not credit an account that is legacy for its reduced monthly fee. How about the reverse? If someone has a standard, non-legacy account but has hired 2 extra retainers, will they be getting a discount? How close does the charge for the 60 day time card match with the actual cost of a standard account fee for 60 days according to the mog station?

The thing is, the people who have contacted their banks because SE's support team says the error's 401, 601, etc mean your bank declined the transaction, get the same answer from their banks. They don't even see an attempt made to authorize a charge. Which is what my bank also told me. Meaning that for whatever reason Global Collect's system is just declining the card before attempting authorization and once it declines it gets blocked for 24 hours or more.

Once again, can we have a status update on paypal or new payment methods please SE?
