Again though, It's not like it has to go through Paypal directly. They were able to use UltimatePay for quite a while before they shut down. Its not like they cant go through another 3rd party that would offer that support.
Another option they could do is instead of Game Time Cards they could make "CRYSTA" cards. Crysta is usable for subs and cash shop items. Or come up with a simple method to convert a game time card to crysta currency and keep the current game time cards available.

They could easily offer Crysta digitally through the NA Square Enix store. Since the store accepts paypal through Digital River this would not be hard to accomplish. Then just enter the "code" as one would a gametime code or what have you, but instead of time, it would give you an amount of crysta.

They said they were working on adding paypal and asked for patience. That was months ago, however. No idea if they really are working on it or just said it to shut people off.

I wish they would Offer "ideal" for european customers as well as paypal, or release Crysta cards in stores across europe.

Though for me it is not such a big deal, but "ideal can be quite useful over a Creditcard. Besides I have friends who don't have creditcards but wish to purchase things from the shop.

Wait a few days. I had the exact issue, if you try one, and it doesn't work, and you try another one, you get locked out for 24 hours everytime you get the 401/whatever error. They don't state this, which is very wrong, but yeah, wait some time.. I had to wait like 2 weeks.

I don't have any issues with the current payment methods and I'm in the UK so I don't know what the issue is. :3
