Paypal please! (or Riot :P)

I try to buy some Crysta but when I enter my password to pay with Paypal, I get this message:

We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.

For some browsers, this problem can be resolved by clearing or deleting cookies.

Has this happened to anybody?
I cleared my cache & cookies like some places told me to but it continues to happen, any help? :s

Chances are paypal may be undergoing a maintenance or an outage. Try again in an hour or so.
Also you could try a different browser entirely, if you haven't already tried it.

I feel like I must thank you again, SE. I cannot tell you how much easier having Paypal has made my life when it comes to paying for and playing FFXIV. Seriously, THANK YOU!

Ever since we got paypal as a payment method, I have had no problems whatsoever paying for anything on the cash shop or other services. I was finally able to get some dye, fantasia my character and buy my Yda minion. I am a happy customer <3

Do you need to live in the US to use this Paypal option? That's really weird.

I have more than $100 and 100 Euro in my Paypal account, so it doesn't make any sense if you refuse my Paypal money.
And my Paypal account is verified.

I've heard that PayPal was removed recently, and I think it's wrong of them for doing so. I found a way to get a debit card with credit card logo - Zoompass - , but I have no idea how long this new service will last, they may decide to remove it next year or so. In the past I bought game cards in EBGames stores. 99% of sub and FTP MMOs nowadays accept PayPal, with no credit card attached, and FF XIV is probably the sole remaining MMO I've seen that does not take PayPal. A decade ago it was rare to pay through PayPal, but now paying through PayPal has become THE norm. They should get their outdated payment system updated to 2015 and accept PayPal like everyone else.
