I don't think you understand how crafting works. Your rotations don't rely on Basic touch, because you are saving your CP for MM2 and Comfort Zone. That doesn't mean that using Basic touch is a waste of CP. Steady Hand II + hasty Touch = 80% Success Rate, SH2+BT = 100% Success rate. Thus, if you are full on CP, you have CZ active, and get a good proc, Basic Touch = same Quality as a Hasty Touch, at 100% Success Rate.

When people argue and say there is no skill in Crafting, it's follow rotation and reclaim out if RNG fails, this type of stuff is the small wiggle room for "skill" the minute brainpower it takes to figure this stuff out.
