need options to block tells / friend request = RMT spam

We need options to be able to Block tells and friend requests from people who are not on friends list. F.C. and linkshells.
I have been playing for 8 months now and I get between 10 to 20 tells and friend requests a day from RMT sellers.
My blacklist is suppose to be used to add players in the game that I choose to add . It is not suppose to fill up every month with 200 RMT sellers. I pay to play this game and it his No in game features to block these RMT spammers.
I spoke with in game GM and they told me to post this info on forums to hopefully get seen by devs and implemented in game.
    1) add in ability to block tells/ friend request from anyone not on friends list, free company or linkshells.
    2) ability to block tells friend requests in for every 10 levels .. example = block tells/friend requests from players that are level 10 and under. Block tells /friend request from people People lvl11 to lvl20 . Etc etc up to lvl50
THIS WOULD CUT DOWN 95% OF THE RMT SPAM INSTANTLY .

Last 3 days . I have gotten 10 to 15 friend invites with RMT SPAM each day. Today I was on for 1 hour and had 5 Rmt /tells. My blacklist is always full with 200 RMT names and I have to del eye names to add more . This is unacceptable for a pay to play game. We need many more features Ingmar that allow us to block these RMT spammers that grieve players constantly.

I agree, the game needs some privacy filters with variable levels. (No-one, Friends List only, Friends List & Free Company only, Everyone)

Then add the option to apply those filters to private messages, friend requests, and free company invites for those who want it.

I agree with this idea. Other idea to consider:

We can set rate of gil to charge for the tells, the payment of gil will go back to NPC. We can make the exceptions from the friends/FC?LS list (to keep it free).

You could set your status to busy to prevent unwanted tells. You'll need to use FC chat or LS to talk to people you want to however.

I gave up on the BL by the way, most RMT is only one or two tells, then they disappear and never use that toon again (at least on my server). Almost more trouble than it's worth at this point.

RMT Spam has increased in the last couple of weeks . I am getting spammmed the second I log into the game befor I am even able to say hello to free company I get 3 RMT tells .
I should not have to go on Busy status in a Pay to Play MMO .
I should not have to have a Blacklist filled ONLY with 200 RMT sellers at all times.
Update page says 6,000+ pepole banned for RMT. But I get spammed in under 5 seconds when I log in
I should have numerous settings for who can talk to me in tells and send me friend invites.

They will always find a way to spam players. Just think of this, would you rather get a few /tells during play or would you rather que up for a dungeon and then once you enter the tank (who got instant que) is a gil bot who spams the party with "buy gil blah blah blah" until people leave dungeon to reque.

The problem with Ffxiv is that it is to easy for Gil spammers. If the effort doesn\\'t meet the required gain they will leave and go to a game that is easier to sell on. If we had all the above blocks in place and Gil spammers had to put in 100times the effort and they aren\\'t turning a profit then their time is best spent in a more profitable game. Time = money .

The idea of escalation "might happen" from the Gil spammers if FF implements various ways to block them so they should do nothing is not what we are paying a monthly sub for. If they try to create alternate methods ,than the developers just have to introduce ways to negate them.

All game companies only pay lip service to stamping out the spammers and the reason is simple. Spammers are paying customers too and spend plenty of money on multiple game subscriptions.

unfortunately I have to agree that it appears this way, I would think that SE could quite easily ban the whole account / log in name / Game key once they get caught spamming. "oh look your account is a gold spammer, your install copy is now a drink coaster" sort of effect.
