I think it depends on strategy. And also, having 9.5k might sound like a hero but your healers are obviously hving a difficult time

As the poster above said, only the Shadows are any danger to you, the rest of the fight's damage to WAR is negligible.

And that's quite the assumption you're making about my healers, The WHM can reliably solo heal majority of the fight while the SCH just does DPS, only needing to full time heal when I tank the shadows, and if you have a SCH's full attention, there's no reason you should ever die, no matter your HP.

I most likely have the lowest HP possible in full i130 STR BiS (~9.5k in Defiance) and have almost never died due to a healer problem.

So please do not imply my healers are not good without justification.

He was not implying that your healers were not good. The notion that things are more difficult for them actually implies the opposite because to succeed when things are difficult requires that one be skilled.

Question about parry does increasing the stat only affect how often you parry and does str and determination increase how much you parry?

While I understand the sentiment of having your survivability and your damage at the same time, VIT vs STR is one of the only "build" options you can have in the whole game. I like having options that are wildly different from each other, something I hope reaches the classes en masse in the future.

The Parry stat will affect how often you parry.

Strength, at certain breakpoints, increases the amount of damage a successful Parry mitigates(26%, 27%, etc.)

Determination does nothing to parrying.
