I don't see fate parties anymore, so how are people leveling up nowadays?

We were the first to kill Ifrit.
A mixture of Dungeons, Leves, and Fates, as well as the Hunting Log. The way it was intended.
friends for quick queues.
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
Depends on the class/job I would say. Tanks and healers can probably live in the dungeon queue. Dps would likely explore every option there is. Once the expansion hits, though, I'd prepare for some epic 18hr fate grind fests.
I usually just queue up for dungeons, and doing the hunting log or quests while I wait.
I leveled Rogue from lv1 to about 27 in a few days that way, it's probably easier if you're a Tank or Healer, since you'll have to wait less for a party in the queue.
For DPS, FATEs and Leves with dungeon runs if you find a friend.
For tanks and healers, dungeon runs.
On Ultros, Quarrymill only ever has a few people running around solo with the rare PF party getting maybe 4 people if they're lucky. Costa del Sol is essentially dead, but Coerthas still manages to get together enough people to take down Steropes at peak times. North Thanalan is also dead, mostly because people have realized that the fates come faster in Coerthas and can easily make up the difference in XP, so everyone using Coerthas stays in Coerthas from 35-50 now.
On Ragnarok it is still fates mixed with guildhests, hunting logs and dungeons. But you usually do Costa Del Sol solo and find party at Coertheas, on earlier levels it is problem.
What about for gatherers?, leves? 40+
