Didn't the development team say they'll take existing weapons from old games and change them?
Wasn't Ragnarok a sword, and now it's an axe?
In addition to this, Save the Queen was a whip in Final Fantasy VIII. :P So, why not a Star Globe?
I know, just saying that Death Penalty is likely not going to be the relic as it already exists in lore.
Although getting a colt revolving rifle as a relic would kick ass. If it looks anything like the Dirge of Cerberus weapon, then damn son, do want!![]()
And the answer is.... NOTHING!!
No old one, but what about the new names?
Machinist? Old Blue (LOL)
Astro? Star World
Dark Knoght? Deathbringer.
I think dark knights weapon will be called darkness. Named after cecils second sword. So what do you think the Iconic weapon for Machinist, Dark knight, and Astrologian will be?
For me I'm guessing...
Dark knight = Deathbringer (High chance due to Deathbringer being DK's signature weapon in the FF series.)
Machinist = Cerberus (meh it is just a guess)
Astrologian = Final Trump (not many Card weapons for FF series or anything related to this new weapon for Astrologian)
To be honest I didn't think the new jobs would get relic weapons. However the relic weapons 2.0 do not have to have anything to do with the zodiac Braves. Honestly I don't think it would make sense to go any further with the zodiac weapons. My money is on the new relics being completely new lore perhaps even having something to do with thordan and his 12 knights or maybe even the ancient civilization that exsisted back in the time of saint shiva.
MCH: weapon is probably going to be Death Penalty, seeing how they love FF7 so much.
DRK: will probably be either Chaosbringer or Deathbringer.(Would have said Ragnarok, but that's a war weap)
AST: No clue.
Dark Knight: If they are not going to introduce SAM, I can see DRKs getting a "Masamune". I recall Dark Knights in FFIII using that kind of blades. Since Ragnarok has been used to name an axe (I respect you for that devs but it hurts a little), there are very few options remaining, unless they switch names again like they did with some relics. As stated so many times, Deathbringer, as it was Cecil's sword too.
