EDIT: sasuke's blades counts as two, Aegis is listed as a shield if that counts independant of the sword, that makes twelve.
DRK: Balmung (Gotta keep up that Ishgardian dragon theme, right?)
Astrologian: The equip item is a globe. So I thought Starcaller, but that's a title already. But maybe Shooting Star or something, Three Stars?
Machinist: Quicksilver

What makes you think the new jobs will even have relics? The current ones aren't likely to carry over into the expansion. If they don't then there will probably be a new quest series for another weapon in the expansion and the new jobs will just skip right to that. There's no point in new jobs being given a quest that has them farm pre-expansion content when the rest of the player base will have moved on and no longer have any interest in it.

Unless you work for SE directly and have access to all data before anyone no one knows for certain what will happen.
Also this post is for fun since I am assuming the new Jobs will have their own Relics since the Trailer did show their Iconic weapons which could be their Relic Weapons.
So why so Serious?
the precedent for this is that BLU COR PUP DNC SCH GEO and RUN weren't put on relics in 11 and GEO/RUN weren't put on empyreans. The difference though is that they were existing weapons, whereas these would be tuned to the job (ideally.)
I didn't say I know anything, I said it's not likely. Unless you work for SE you don't know what those weapons in the trailers were either so that useless argument can work both ways...Who said the new Jobs won't have a Relic Quest?

Expansions usually attract a lot of new players. As a result it would be incredibly poor game design to have an ongoing quest from before the expansion be a requirement to obtain and progress relic weapons going forwards. I know a lot of you are in love with your weapons and all the time and effort you've poured into them but it's just not realistic from a design standpoint for them to continue to upgrade through multiple expansions. A new player joining after 3.0 would have to waste weeks doing old content that no one is interested in any more to get their relic just so they can upgrade it to deal with level 60 content... you see the problem? It would put any new players off completely, and SE wouldn't want that.
I do think there will be a relic equivalent in the expansion (possibly those weapons in the trailers), but it will be a new quest, not an extension of the current one. I wasn't trying to suggest the thread was pointless or anything, just that I don't think those new weapons will be relics but rather something else. I actually quite like the idea of Cerberus for Machinist. Astrologian is going to be difficult to predict anything for though because it's an entirely new weapon type to the series as far as I'm aware.

I'm 99% certain all gear we have right now and get until 3.0, will be easily replaced in the expansion... And I'm also almost sure that a player that levels from 1-60, doesn't have to care about the higher gear at level 50.
The Zodiac arc is going to end after the weapon is upgraded to ilvl 135 or whatever it will end at, and then there will be something new for the expansion, which I predict won't have anything to do with the current relics.
Also, like someone else here mentioned, there are only 12 Zodiac weapons, and there will be 13 jobs in the expansion... Just another hint that the new jobs won't get them.
Machinist = Death Penalty
yea.... i went there(bonus points to guess where its from)
One of Merlwyb's muskets is already called Death Penalty iirc, so that name is unlikely. Though it was the name of the mythic weapon for the Corsair in FFXI...
I think Fomalhaut is the best bet for Machinist, something along those lines. Also possible is Annihilator and the Exeter.
For DRK, I would say Deathbringer is most likely, for Astrologian, Final Trump (though I suspect we will get something more unique this time around)
