    Warrior Tank Help!!!

Im on my first character which is a warrior lvl 45. I wanted to do research on end game as i am getting close and most of what ive been reading is people dont like the warrior. Im hesitant on this and would like some help. Also ive heard alot of people differ on the stat point since they did the new patch 2.4. any advice on where to spend most of the points or all of them, have just been fate grinding and doing dungeons for xp and practise on tanking

I don't have experience with the warrior tank but have gotten a paladin tank to 50. The main stat to invest in as a tank is vitality to boost your hp as high as possible so you can stand against boss fights longer. Your gear will help round out your other stats that'll help you. Positioning is important as a tank as that can determine how much damage the others in the group will take. Holding aggro is vital too, so remember to throw an extra flash or something that is heavy aggro from time to time in a boss fight to keep the focus on you. Practice makes perfect too. Hope this helps some.

Hello, lv.50 warrior. To my knowledge, there is no preference between paladins and warriors any more.

Warriors used to have less damage mitigation than paladins, which made them less suitable for the cutting-edge endgame raiding because of the enormous damage bosses deal in those fights.

That issue was addressed in patch 2.2 and a combination of both tanks is now preferred for their synergy. In fact, the pendulum's recently swung towards preferring warriors because of their ability to maintain enmity on more enemies than the paladin and the ease at which ninjas can help warriors regen tp without losing dps.

As far as gear goes, many warriors use the best tank armor slots they can get (emphasizing vit, accuracy/parry, and determination), while using strength accessories to increase their damage. Some will change a few pieces for vit accessories if they need to, but warriors will usually drop vit for str when able. If you are optimizing, be aware that you should have exactly 558 accuracy for final coil, and the only stat to avoid is skill speed.

As for attributes, all tanks start with a combination of vit and str. The best geared eventually go with 30 str, so that is considered the "pro" build, but it is recommended that you ease in to it. Stat reset scrolls are much cheaper now and you can afford to play with it to find the setup that suits your playstyle.

It's good that you want to prepare!
The two tanks are fairly equal. There are some places where PLD is preferred vs WAR but you can tank equally well. For War you will not have nearly as many CD's as a PLD will have at his/her disposal. As a result you will be more dependent on your healers. In place of your CD's you will have things like the Storm's Path buff or Inner Beast to play with.
Needless to say you should make sure you have both Provoke + Awareness from PLD cross classed.

STR and VIT are your two attributes.
Go with VIT until you have good enough gear and then switch to STR.
It is good to get yourself a set of VIT accessories along with your STR ones just in case you need that extra HP.

As far as other stats go you always want to make sure you have capped Accuracy. After all, you can't tank well if you're missing the mob. Then you move onto Determination or Cit Hit. I'd say that Skill Speed is very valid.
In fact, I'd say go with Skill Speed over Parry as even an extra swing or two under your DD buffs will mean better hate + damage for you as a warrior.
Please note that a lot of your gear will have Parry as a stat but if you are on a budget feel free to go for more Parry, it is a very valid stat in its own right.

    Hope this helps!
