    This.

And Bristol, I did mention human error happens, but so does lag. Can't do anything about that sometimes. And to put it in perspective, if the Ninja's fighting style is built around weaving ninjutsu into physical DPS, then it's a vital part that shouldn't be completely invalidated if and when mistakes happen. Does a Dragoon or Monk completely have no ability to use the final skill in a combo if they don't complete it in sequence, or do they just not gain the additional damage or effects of it? Why then is this vital apsect of Ninja DPS completely unusable AND tied to a cooldown if and when things go wrong, regardless of the player's fault?

Yes, actually they do. They either have to do their combo correctly, or they can't use the top-end (final portion) of that combo. Now, they might not have to wait to re-charge that combo as long as you do, but they also can't change their pattern to get different styles of attacks simply by using their skills in a different order. Another thing Monk and DRG have to contend with to build their combos, is positional requirements (although some of these have been lessened)....basically, your trade-off for not having positional requirements, is having your key 'Ninja skills' potentially screwed up if you combo them wrong/lag. A Monk or DRG can get screwed up in their rotations because they had to dodge/avoid a certain side of the mob and/or lag catches them in the AoE.

Nothing you just said applies to MNK. >_>

They can change the pattern to get different styles of attacks by using different skills, their combos progress regardless of missed positionals (losing out on at most 50 potency), and even if they do some wonky combo for the first two steps they can still execute their final attacks. About the only thing that you got right is that mechanics and/or lag can mess up their rotation, but let's take a look at what that actually means.

For lag to make a MNK drop GL3, it would have to be about 5 seconds of lag. Maybe as little as 3 seconds if they used ToD within the rotation. Meanwhile, the NIN gets screwed with at .5 seconds of lag. That's one-tenth as much lag screwing the NIN almost as hard as it screws a MNK.
