    A question about macroing abilities.

I'm a player returning after a break, so if my information is wrong, please correct me.

As I understand it, using macros with GCD abilities is bad because you cant skill queue and lag and all that stuff, but what about non GCD abilities?

Like could I safely macro Mug, Internal Release, BfB and all those to one place safely and just hammer on it in between GCDs? Or macro the abilities to other GCD keys and they'd just get used whenever I hit the frequently used abilities?

Macros prevent skill queueing for all abilities, be they GCD or otherwise. You're much better off using manual inputs and queueing the skills normally.

For melee, as long as you do it for your damage buffs and not attack actions, I'd say you can macro all buffs into one button for QoL.

I highly would suggest that you do not do this, since you'll probably delay your next GCD and you'd have to hope that your next buff will be available to go off in ~exactly a second (e.g. being animation locked). You can sometimes fit two in between GCDs, but you'll mostly only want to do one. Also, they have different cooldowns and you usually want to use them as soon as they come back up, rather than waiting for them all.

    This is not true.
If you spam the button, then you might delay the next GCD (like described in your "fit two between"), but if you hit it once it should activate the Buff in the first macro line and your good to slam your next GCD.
The differnet Cooldown thing however is correct, but nothing stops you from using the macro and having each buff separatly on your Hotbar.

Once you get the timing down for it, this isn't an issue as long as you stick with one off GCD ability per GCD.
