    I agree with the sentiment that fights seem designed to make it hard to play Monk optimally (this is probably intentional), but I don't think this prevents us from being excellent DPS.

    What bothers me more about Monk's current state is gear itemization. I hate the stat allocation on Ironworks, this can be overcome if you are in final coil, but to go from overmelded ilvl110 crafted or un-weathered soldiery gear to the new ilvl120 Poetics set destroys determination. Even comparing pieces that have the same stats, some stats go down. Sure you are seeing a huge jump in Str which as a primary stat so it should more than offset, resulting in a DPS gain but I don't understand the need to trivialize secondary stats. I would like to be able to choose determination, skill-speed, or accuracy as I see fit, not take w/e they put out because it's a higher ilvl.

    Yes I am aware this intentional, but while you are working on obtaining coil gear you need to wear something and Ironworks is supposed to be an upgrade, but for Monks it's an upgrade in ilvl and primary stats str/vit only (as a whole set). I feel like primary stats are weighted enough that they are still a very marginal upgrade, but why even bother with secondary stats if I have to equip every piece of gear that comes along just because it has a higher base stat. Equipping a bunch of new gear only to what a stat you want (determination) go down and down and down, just so your primary stats can go up makes the upgrade process feel meh. I would like to hear back form other Monks wearing ilvl120 and see what their determination numbers are (minus weapon) please.

    as a i117 monk i do find it funny how some bosses Ifrit titan garuda levi and T9 all seem to have mechanics that take up to 15 seconds making it near impossible to keep stacks of GL3 even fine tuning the rotation to work with these mechanics it is still impossible to keep GL3 making our DPS drop slightly, it dose need a slight fix but only by adding say 3 seconds to GL3 that gives a single GCD ability time to save the GL3 with mechanics that last as long as it dose now. :3

    Or make the jumps of the primals faster?

    either Or would work. but seeing how some people have difficulties dodging with the time given it makes me worry for them if they were sped up, the 3 extra seconds gives enough for a decent monk to have a last second save on there greeted lightning accounting for the jumps,

    There are enough people who say that the primals are easy. Faster jumps can also help there. ^^

    You have a skill for this though. It's called Perfect Balance. Adding more time and allowing you to keep your GL3 up while there's nothing even there to hit would be utterly broken. It would make a strong DPS class even stronger.
