Not at all; 's my favourite Final Fantasy over all as well. I've got particular favourites like VIII's setting and IX's feel for instance, but XIII was the first one genuinely resonated with me. I think it's because it's got more complete and fleshed out character arcs than the average FF-game tends to have; I've always been sensitive to that sort of thing. That and I love the way they made the normally ludicrous power levels Final Fantasy characters end up demonstrating make sense through the L'cie concept, and made it a central part of the story.
Sorry, as for the point of your thread.. I do fear you mightn't hold out too much hope. As others have said, perhaps with the PC release of the most recent XIII game .. but it's my suspicion that if we're going to ever see a way to acquire that kit again, it'll likely be via the optional services/cash shop.

No offense, but we already had it twice and twice is enough already. We don't need it a third time. I'm very sorry for all the people that did not get it but still we don't need another redo of this Event.
But... but we've already had it three times
That said, first two time made sense, since it was for the Lightning Returns release in Japan and then {English speaking place}. Third time was pushing it with the anniversary, though I suppose it was fair for the PS4 players.
If SE make it return a fourth time... well, it just makes it look like they've run out of ideas for events (and so far the Summer, Halloween, Christmas and New Years events have been different).

Actually, we already had it three times (Lightning Returns release in Japan, release in EU/US, anniversary)
They already put some event item in the cash shop... It will be there eventually.
In my opinion, it is the "right" way to use the cash shop. Every item there should be past limited event item only and no exclusivity like mount and minion.
I remember long ago I heard that there might be an updated version of FFVII on the way. But, I also heard later on that they don't want to remake it.
But, maybe if there was to be a remake, then perhaps the Buster Sword could make an apearence in a special event.
But it will most likely never happen.
A PS4 port, that use the old PS1 graphic. Mostly because the PS4 can't play PS1 games, so they make a PS4 version without changing much.I remember long ago I heard that there might be an updated version of FFVII on the way. But, I also heard later on that they don't want to remake it.

They should do a FF VI remake fo PS4, like the IV for PSP with classic graphic, but in HD (less pixel)

The fan-service for that was the limit break;

As others have mentioned, rather than dredging up the Lightning event YET AGAIN, SE will most likely add these items to the cash shop at some point. I agree that this kind of thing is perfect for a cash shop as it allows SE to include limited-time, once-only events without players who joined after the event had passed (or missed it for one reason or another while it was active) from feeling like the items are irrecoverably lost forever.
If players keep insisting that SE dredge up old one-time events just so they can get the gear they missed, it gives SE less flexibility in adding NEW one-time events with NEW gear, emotes, hairstyles, and so on. I'd hate to miss out on a Chrono Trigger anniversary crossover event (with Robo minion!) because SE felt pressured by the fanbase to have Lighning Strike for the sixth or seventh time.![]()
