Prequel Scenario Quests (1.x)

I think it would be cool to see prequel quests, basically 1.0 scenario quests + cutscenes in ARR engine :v, and the final quest ends with End of an Era video

Perhaps put requirement that you have to beat 2.0 story first, so that new players won't get confused.

I never played 1.0, but I'm guessing the only new asset + boss fight mechanic they need to create is "Nael Van Darnus". Everything else should already be in ARR.. even "young Minfilia"

Basically, no, it will never happen. The original 1.0 starting nation storylines and the Path of the Twelve storylines were re-purposed and redesigned for ARR's starting city storylines and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn story anyway, (what story ideas and elements that were not reused for ARR's main scenario has been officially retconned away and therefore abandoned).

And the Seventh Umbral Era story concerning Dalamud's summoning was always stated as being a once-only event never to be repeated (the old achievement for completing it was even called 'Once in a Lifetime!'). It was a special bonus for those who were sticking with the game through to ARR's service. Of course ARR will continue to refer to events in 1.0 via cutscenes and flashbacks (such as through the Echo), but the actual storylines depicted in 1.0 will never be replayable because there simply is no longer any narrative reason to do so. ARR is not just a sequel to 1.0, but a complete reboot - and thus, 1.0's story is mostly now irrelevant.

So basically, 1.0's story is gone and is never coming back.

I know, I don't really care about the achievement either, they can have it.

But it might be done in terms of flashback, just like Minstrel's Ballad, for the sake of knowing 1.0 story, seeing young Minfilia story, and experiencing Nael Van Darnus battle - he/(she?) seems cool
