2.5 Trailer?

Does each update really need a trailer? I mean for real.. it's just an update.

We already know most of what to expect. Do you really need to be teased that much more about something you'll experience in about a week's time?

I mean, I think the previous trailers and stuff have been nice and all, but they haven't really been necessary in the least bit considering we also have Live Letters before just about every update that tend to give us a pretty darn good understanding of what's to come. Can't we just wait and then be surprised by (or disappointed by, I guess) what's in the patch notes when we get them, and then experience the new stuff while playing the game?

Trailers should be for expansions and game launches.

It'll likely be tommorow, with tommorow being the reset and all, and being a week before 2.5. If there isn't a trailer ect. I assume its because there's a lot of secret stuff about Before The Fall that they might not want to show.

The trailer isn't going to show much more than they already do, they showed the three dungeons, WoD, we already saw Odin at a trial and showing Gilga 6 arms isn't going to spoil anything, same for the new recipes, the only thing they could spoil would be the main story, although they usually show too little to spoil anything, the only thing that wouldn't be in the trailer is the mystery trial.

I want a trailer for hotfixes, give me intense music and elaborate effects to let me know that an issue that never affected me has been resolved.

I really don't think it's a case of not wanting to spoil things.

1) If you look at the 2.4 trailer, for example... there were spoilers about the Shiva storyline, as well as a scene or two from FCoB that were spoilerish. Didn't stop them from including them.
2) It's their trailer. They can include or not include anything they want. They could easily build a trailer without including the spoiler material. Show things like WoD or the new dungeons... things we've already seen.

IMO if there isn't a trailer or at least a blog post about 2.5 tomorrow, that likely means it's not dropping on the 20th.

2.0 BIG trailers (duh) and one big show case trailer
2.1 multiple trailers followed by one big show case trailer
2.2 housing trailer coil trailer and again followed by one big showcase trailer
2.3 st trailer a realm reborn E3 trailer (for new players) and one big showcase trailer
2.4 eternal bonding trailer heavens run trailer a video showcasing each of the primal, a promotional 'i beat titan video' followed by one big showcase trailer
2.5 small videos of the new dungeons and World of darkness (tokyo fan fest)
3.0 CGI trailers and gameplay demo trailers (tokyo fan fest)

each patch has had a trailer to show off the new crafting dungeons and small aspect of the patch not JUST for us but for new players wanting to see what is coming with this latest update.

The 2.4 website launched around 10 days before 2.4 itself, though 2.3's launched a few weeks before, so there's not any real schedule for when they launch. So it'll likely come tommorow.

Did we ever get solid confirmation that Yoshi did indeed say 20th Jan at the Nico Nico event?
