    Roegadyn Seawolf Skintones

Hello there has been a question that has been on my mind for a while.
Is any other skincolor besides Green extremely rare for Seawolf Roegadyn?

I've noticed almost every Seawolf NPC have very light Green or Dark Green Skintones.
There are a few I noticed with different skintones, for example the admirals very pale skin or Moenbryda's very Hyur like skintone (although i'm not 100% sure if Moenbryda is a seawolf)

Moenbryda is a sea wolf by her very name. It means Moon Bride. IF she was a hellsguard, her name would be "Moon Bride". I notice that most races have skin tones in the midling area of color and rarely in the extremes.

I think it's also possible that the roegadyn skin tones seem to reflect and symbolize their preferred environments - Sea Wolves who are the maritime clan having varying green and blue skintones while Hellsguard which migrated to volcanic areas have skintones of varying shades of red probably isn't a coincidence (much like how the Duskwight Elezen started having paler skin when they broke off from the Wildwood and adopted a troglodytic culture).

    Not necessarily.
As mentioned by the Roegadyn naming conventions topic, these rules aren't "set in stone", so it's not uncommon to find a Sea Wolf Roegadyn with a translated name, just as it's not uncommon to find a Hellsguard Roegadyn with an ancient tongue name.
But yeah, that said, Moenbryda is a Sea Wolf Roegadyn.

From doing a few class quest in limsa lominsa I've noticed quite a few seawolfs with a more dark greyish sort of skintone. I remember them all being quest givers for fisher, blacksmith, and marauder.

Yeah I noticed that too, while the majority of sea wolf npcs are green there are a few that are other shades.

About Moenbryda, she uses a skintone that isn't selectable on character creation for Seawolves (but is selectable if you are highlander, Hyur, or elezen)

This could be because she is is Sharlayan and not La Noscean.

I wonder if Roegadyn skintones represent more of the enviorment they are born in rather than long term natural selection and being passed down from parents.

So for example a Roegadyn born at sea would have greenish skintones while if that same Roegadyn were to be born on land they would be more pale or dark.

Yeah, that is probably the case with Moenbryda, but I don't think that skin tone is 100% related to a Roe's birth place. For example; we have Merlwyb, the nameless roes who can be found in the miners guild and another roe whom frequently can be seen shopping in limsa lominsa lower decks, and the Roe merchants for housing plots (if you choose for them to be a female roe) are all sea wolfs with a more pale skin tone regardless of their location within the realm.

It's likely just genetics that determine one's skin tone.

She's a Sea Wolf. Hellsguard also have a slight black underneath their noses that is subtly reminiscent of a puppy dog nose. Moenbryda does not have that.

Pure speculation but its also possible that Moenbryda is mixed race. Which would explain the Roegadyn name and stature and Hyurian/Elezen skintone.
