Magicked mushroom

First post here. Having real problems with magicked mushroom. Have fished the hole maybe 10 times. Approx 7-10 mooches per time. So approx 70-100 mooch and only one time has the magicked mushroom bit. Is anyone else having this kind of rng fail ?
I've tried rain / thunder >>> overcast/ fog nothing seems to work

RNG. Just keep at it. I'm still missing bonytongue I've already lost count the amount of windows I've been for this silly fish only to bite twice and gtfo.
In the end, this fish race is all about perserverance, luck has little to do with it, because you can be lucky with some fish, but not with all 112. It's a pure patience + perseverance test.

With that said, magicked mushroom took me 5-6 windows if I remember well, it escaped 3 or 4 times before I managed to get him, it's not one of the easy ones, but unless the RNG strikes hard upon you, it shouldn't be a nightmare either.

Thanks for the reply. Got fingers this morning to hit 105. Really getting discouraged. Stopped counting nepto after 13 fish gets away. Can't even get the mooch for kuno when I have buff and window is open lol. About all I got left to hit 106 is bat-o-nine tails, magicked,the sea of clouds one,long climb( never rains in OLN) and the singing shards one. Maybe this weekend XD.

Pretty sure everyone has That One Fish. Or even Those Several Fish. Which fish, varies from person to person.

Yeah, rng loves everyone differently!

I got Magicked Mushroom 1/1 on first try from first mooch fish. Yet The Fingers, The Lone Ripper, Anomalocaris, Aetherlouse (before patch 2.4 catch-rate update), Toramafish and a few others were pain in the butt for simply not biting, or biting once during the whole window and escaping. With perseverance I caught them with time that stretched into many weeks of feeding the fish and making them fat with baits!

Now my arch enemy is Imperial Goldfish. With last try I went with 6 HQ fish in a row, yielding 2 HQ Jungle Catfish, gave me the buff, and not a single HQ silverfish after.

I'm still 111/112 because of it.

None of the Feast of Famine fish gave me trouble anywhere near as much as the fish I mentioned. All of them were caught between 1-3 bites with as many windows. The Fingers, Anomalocaris, Aetherlouse, The Lone Ripper, and now that I remember also The Sinker and Vip Viper, King of the Spring, Worm of Nym, Joan of Trout... I lost count how many times I tried them without a single bite, or how many times they escaped.

You got very lucky then, cause Namitaro took me over 12 hooks to actually catch. Nepto about 7, although getting the buff was easy. The others I did get lucky on they took 2-3 hooks, problem was all that mooching beforehand lol

Congratulations me caught the ULN one this morning and got my rod. I know kuno and nepto are quest fish. Any reason to gather the others besides clearing the fish log?
