Alt R takes me to desktop, instead of replying to a tell

I have no idea what to do on this one, I just recently came back to ffxiv and as soon as I got my first tell, I hit Alt + R and it put me to desktop and opened the run command.

I have a Logitech G19 keyboard, but never set the keys on it. I have a recently new pc, so I haven't done a lot of tinkering with my accessories. but I know it's not the keyboard, I plugged in a regular generic keyboard, and same thing.

even when I'm not playing the game, just on desktop I hit Alt R and it pops up the run command.

I'm running windows 8.1

I've googled this and found nothing. I assume it's just not a shortcut made for Windows 8.

I even decided to format and start new, and it still happens.

would appreciate any help.

omg you're a lifesaver I have start menu 8, and before I formatted I searched everything through it and never found anything that might cause the problem. but after the format, and going to your link, I found the hotkey that wasn't listed before. fixed it. thanks so much

I had another problem, similar to that one... HIGHLY Annoying!
