[To Dev] - Request to increase Blacklist Cap

Are there any chances to increase blacklist cap above 200? Perhaps 1000? I know this is not a preventive action for avoiding spammers but it would help to reduce these unnecessary tells.

I would estimate that my list got full in 6 months more or less in our server, but this temporary action can buy time of convenience until this issue is addressed and closed.

Just delete the first half of your list. Characters on banned accounts don't get deleted.

I just wish we had a right-click "report RMT". Not only should this option quickly report a RMT seller, but add the player to the black-list. The current report process is far too lengthy then it should be for reporting these bots.

Thanks Felis, I think ill do that. Just to inquire, those banned accounts may come back sometime in the future, right? Otherwise they would be tagged as (deleted) in my list which was already cleared.

It's a permanent ban. I delete names every now and then from my blacklist and it's currently empty.

My blacklist is always empty, whenever i Blist someone I remove him 2-3 days later since by then that person is either banned or made another character.
There is no reason to increase the cap.
The (Deleted) accounts are not the banned ones, they either moved to another server or deleted that character to make another one.
When SE bans acounts the names stay, as their accounts are just frozen with their characters untouched.

Actually... At least on Midgardsormr the RMT seldom send more than one tell using the same name... So it's essentially pointless to continue to blacklist them.

You could also turn off the sound for tells and filter them out from the chat, unless you really get tells from other real players. Or keep a chat tab for tells only...

A better request would be to let us know when an account we reported on is deleted or not. As it currently stands, I don't know if an RMT account is banned or not. Their name is still in my BL, and I can't tell if they were banned or not.

As other people have said, there's no need to keep these names blacklisted. There are problems with the black list though, namely that there are so many spammers that if you every wanted to black list an actual player you'd have to remember their name and be sure not to delete them from the list. We also need some sort of mass removal system for out black lists. Again, something more than just delete all (which would work for me and a lot of others) since you theoretically do want to keep some players on the list.
