Leviathan Progression Thread

I been out of the country, just now catching up.

In regards to us tracking normal Alex, I don't think it matters as long as it doesn't clog up the thread... which was another reason why I also don't think EX should be tracked anymore either. EX and just like Normal Alex, get downed easily and farmed relatively quickly before they become dead content. Since other big FC servers continue to track EX, we should as well to keep a uniform format.

Normal Alex is not tracked across any other big FC servers, nor is it considered progression by any of the top FC's we ultimately want some of our FC's to compete against. It holds no relevant recruiting basis since the content can be DFed, and no offense... it's misleading, the FC's that have posted thus far are not going to pick up new players just to run Normal Alex, EX is sufficient enough to show which FCs are active.

The goal of this expansion should be to have multiple FCs capturing World Ranks, putting Leviathan on the map as a FC raiding scene on top of the fun community we're known for.

I think it's a bit unfortunate that Alex normal was removed from the progression list after people seemed to agree that it didn't hurt anyone to include it. I think people should be happy for others' achievements instead of trying to erase them so you don't get "pushed down the list." Our FC almost never posts our primal kills, if ever, and we actually only started posting our Alex kills because we noticed other people spamming the thread with theirs.

Not to get personal here, but if you look at the posts against it being tracked there are loud complaints from people who entered the raid before everyone else and still did not kill it first. I personally recall seeing some of these groups enter Alex Normal before our group, rush to post their kills turn-by-turn on this thread, and now they are the ones that are on this thread complaining about it being on here. If yall didn't care about the progression of it, yall wouldn't have gotten up and rushed into the raid in the first place and started spamming this thread with your kills. The other loud voices against it being tracked are groups that are looking to be competitive but did not get up early to get the kill.

It really seems like a bit of salt is contributing to the decisions being made here, and that's really dissapointing. If we aren't going to track Alex normal, then don't track Ex Primals - they are both crazy easy and practically anyone is capable of entering them and farming them - or include both. I mean... 90% of the server wasn't even level 60 when Ex Primals started being cleared, and they took about the same amount of time as it did for groups to clear 1-4. At least for Alex everyone was already level 60 and i180 with an even playing field for competition.

You can use the excuse that "other servers aren't tracking it" but honestly, the majority of servers don't have a progression thread at all - not to mention that top guilds did in fact update their kills on their twitters as soon as they cleared 1-4. People might not be recruiting to run Alex normal, but they aren't exactly recruiting to run Bismark either last time I checked.

Again, I don't really mind if it isn't included but I think it should apply to all non-relevant raids, including primals. I don't want to create drama or anything, but I don't see why it was removed if people had already agreed that it hurt no one to have it. The progression threads on this server have always had a fairly bad history of having inconsistent rules - I'm just asking for some consistency here. Primals + Alex or Neither imo.

If you want to count day one DF content it's only fair that we include Bismarck and Ravana HM, Dusk Vigil, Sohm Al, Aery, Vault, Library, Neverreap, Research Facility, and Singularity Reactor. We should be tracking all of this!

I am personally indifferent as well but Berengaria is right in that the same groups wanting it removed were spamming every turn individually with screenshots when the servers went up :P. I guess we all only care when it's convenient!

I agree with Berengaria.

I won't call it salt, but I will say it's logically fallacious to have Bismarck tracked without any objections, but completely object to Alexander. It's also intellectually dishonest to come up with a reason to be okay with tracking Bismarck while objecting to Alexander. And that's coming from guilds who posted both Bismarck and Alex clears and are now suddenly objecting to Alex clears.

Considering Levi was the only server tracking it, I highly doubt there was any salt. More-so maintaining a standard set by other raid renown servers.

I guess it was my bad for firing the trigger and initially posting. I figure other FCs were more inclined to post since they assumed it might be tracked as well. Either way most servers have decided not to track it and we should stick with that standard.

whoa....didn't check this for a day or two...I see the arguments for both sides and I will remove Primals as well since they are basically on the same level. I'll only be tracking Savage content from now on. It's been a bit wierd with tracking as primals have gotten easier and easier and now the addition of normal mode alexander I wasn't to sure... Also to whoever thinks I removed it for my own game is sadly mistaken since I wasn't planning on tracking it all nor did we get up early to do normal alexander lol.

P.S - I left the names of FC's on there for now and removed dates. Once kills start rolling in that will change of course. (spacing is a **** to re-add) .

I don't blame anyone for the slow transition away from tracking EX primals, I mean they used to mean something. Hell, the first three EX primals were arguably more difficult than most of the first Coil.
