Legacy Achievements re-addition, when?

Given that the old lodestone is permanently going away, I figured instead of this being swept under the rug, I'll post a record of it just in case. Back in 1.0, SE gave us a list of achievements that were going to be unobtainable.

However when the game was released, the list is actually much greater. Hamlet, faction leves, gil dropped from enemies, and the chocobo escort achievements are no longer obtainable as well, and they were not on that list. At the bottom of that list of achievements, it was said that the other achievements will become temporarily unavailable upon release of the game. My question is, how long is unavailable going to be, that is, if they ever re-release them?

They'll never reinstate those Legacy achievements, because the whole reason they're 'Legacy' ones is because they were for content that disappeared in the change to ARR (like, the travel ones for visiting every 1.0 aetheryte and aetherial gate in pre-Calamity Eorzea), and hence, are no longer relevant.

I'm also curious as to why they've only now decided to shut down the old Lodestone, as it was already archived anyway (trying to save on network bandwidth, or just trying to erase all traces of FFXIV's sordid past?). Ah well, I backed up the relevant pages for it long ago so even once it's been deleted, I'll at least still have a record of it (plus, there's always the Internet Wayback Machine on the Internet Archive to view it).

I did read your post and I answered accordingly. You just have to accept the bitter truth that was obvious from day one that if it's listed as a 'Legacy' achivement in ARR, then it's never coming back.

is as a kind of CYA statement. 1.0 achievements may NEVER come back. :/

The way I read that statement is that the achievements that are not on that list, will still be obtainable. I could care less about the listed achievements on that list. Beat good king mog in hard mode. If it's not complete, then they pretty much lied.

He damn sure better, it would make for great open world PvE/PvP content... Could have beast tribes/raiders attacking a Hamlet on a regular schedule, and also throw in PvP "training" exercises in between. Twin Adder tests Maelstrom, Maelstrom tests Flames, Flames test Twin Adder, all on a rotary schedule with PvE occurring during down time (so when Maelstrom v Flames is going on, PvE for Twin Adder is happening). They could do a much better job of it now than in 1.0, even with 2.0s servers still being lackluster. Currently the closest we have is some monkeys attacking Hyrstmill? Meh...

I'd love to see this come back. I never took part in 1.0 because I never had any crafting jobs leveled, but man now that I'm a builder of the realm I'd love it.
