Any way to interupt a Bots script?

Guy is botting the same nodes i am farming, it's so obvious he is a bot it's laughable.
Just want to know if there is a way to i screw up his script? He is set to Busy so i can't trade or send him tells.

I reported him of course and shouted in the area for anyone else to come see him and report as well. Only response was a guy who came over and said "oh this guy? yeah reported him at least 4-5 times in the past week"

If SE is going to do nothing about it at least let me interupt his script!! would just make me feel better.

The only thing I can think of would be bannable, so I shan't say it.

Problem is that anything you could do to stop a bot could also be used to stop a real player which would be abused by others.

Just ignore it and move on. Nothing you can do.

Report it if you feel like it.

Havent found a way to interrupt gather bots. But for those farming mobs. If you trade with them they will stand there till almost dead and just walk away

Conclusion: reporting is the best thing, keeping in mind that with the flood of reports from gil sellers and bots on top of normal reports, liklihood of them actually getting banned is pretty low. SE only has so much manpower, something the playerbase tends to forget.

Depending on the area you might be able to take mobs to him and stand next to him and their AoE might hit him. I've done that to fishing bots in other games.

Just woke up and the bot is still here same zone same section botting away.

Sorry i just don't accept that "SE only has so much manpower" reasoning. They have roughly 2 million subscribers all paying their monthly fee. They can and should afford some people to keep the markets safe from bots.

They don't have 2 million subs that have 2 million accounts. The only figures we had is that there's 500k players at a time on any given day.

The best interruption to a bot's script is when an A or S rank spawns near their nodes

It's hilarious watching the bot keep raising and heading back to that location and getting killed. Over and over, while the rest of the server gathers up for the kill and just laughs.

Buuuut that's obviously not something you can make happen manually

Just be very careful when it comes to trading and/or dragging mobs to the bots to kill them. While it may be fine for a legitimate RMT, a lot of the times it's just someones personal mining bot. As such, they're going to notice. And if they really want to, they can report you for harassment.

The GMs that handle harassment cases work significantly faster (they respond within minutes at times), and the only thing they'll see when they investigate is the player being killed by someone else through various means, which is a quick way to get the hammer swung in a completely different direction than you hoped to see.
