You honestly think having a bunch of subs that are RMT is actually beneficial to the growth of the game? C'mon. No one likes to play and have to deal with RMT on a frequent basis. Stopping it before it gets outta hand is key. Letting people run around with "Hey look, my name is RMT and SE still does nothing about it! LOL!" is not helping us.

Yeah but those are funny because they're a play on a legitimate business. RMT is the scum of the Earth imo and should be dealt with as such. By advertising their branding, this guy is helping/endorsing their cause in a way. I don't like it lol

I actually think the RMTs work mainly with the crystal wards, low cost over head, just need fishing and alchemy and you can fish for all the ingredients you need. which means you can sell them for pretty low and still make a million gil in a few days. The retainers that might belong to RMTs are the ones that throw up 10 stacks of 999 crystals (all the same element) at once and leave it alone for about a week or two even. If you don't want to do business with them don't buy the crystals off those retainers.

Yeah "branding" is a poor choice of wording, but he IS advertising/supporting the idea of RMT-related activities.

Hardly. They're no more advertising or supporting it than you are right now by simply bringing it up. If anything, he's thumbing his nose at the act of RMT. I'm afraid I've gotta side with the others in that you're taking this retainer's name a little too seriously.
