Correct me if I'm wrong, since I am quite the noob to this game (to the point where I am not even sure what tomes are, other than it being some currency used for end game gear,) but are there no other ways to earn those tomes? My understanding is the tome bonus is there to encourage them to do something they would not do otherwise, but that is not the same as being forced. You can always go do your extreme raids to grind those tomes.

Oh and while at it: if someone in the group is still watching a cut scene mid dungeon, don't let the group proceed into the boss fight!!!
I agree with this whole heartedly.

    That's a great idea.

I ran Satasha (story) more than 30 times and only once a experienced player (as tank) asked if people wanted "speed or full" run.

I have no problems with speedruns (but, personally, I don't like much), but I think it's somewhat selfish to do a speedrun when the party has players doing the dungeon for the first time.

Clearly the only solution is to remove Duty Finder and rewards all together. That way you can spend hours forming up a party of people that want to run the instance the same way you do.

Currently, you get more tomes(soldiery) for the low level daily roulette, as you would get from a expert or high level dungeon run (not roulette).
So, to be tome-efficient without a "dungeon static"(lol), it kind of is mandatory to do it.

I always tank low level roulette and when I spot a not synced player I will pull each and every mob this dungeon has to offer.
Naturally I don't feel the impact of rushing tanks in low level roulette so I would not like to see the "clear = x; done not clear: x/2"-thing to still be able to decide myself if it's worth pulling every enemy in the dungeon - wouldn't wanna do that with all synched 50s.

You make it sound like the reward is just too good for a speed run. This is even more of a case for the full reward to only be granted if you do a full dungeon clear.

Yeah it was supposed to deliver that message :P
I, however, do not like the "clear every mob" - idea, because in my experience I get more groups where every1 is synched from 50.
It would also rise new fights of players wanting all tomes (i.E. DPS with longer queues) vs. the speed run fanatics (i.E. Tanks with instant queues).

If you really are getting kicked for requesting a slower or experience driven run, then you should file a GM report against the offending player(s). Regardless of their motivations for running these dungeons, it is explicitly against the rules to vote kick a party member for that reason.

That being said, you should also note that you don't lose a huge amount of experience by skipping some monsters (half the opening room of AV, or some corridors of DD). You should consider your experience over time, and there are instances where an expedited run can prove to be more valuable to you while also serving that high-level player's goal of reaching the end quickly.

Trying to justify your opinion of speed running.
Efficiency in amount of exp gained isn't the same as completing a dungeon as it was intended.

Believe it or not, there are a lot of players who want to experience the whole dungeon, not just the bosses.

I did not state my opinion on speed running. As a matter of fact, I am perfectly content to kill every single thing in a dungeon, as much so as skipping some monsters.

I do however suggest that when 3 party members want to quickly run a dungeon, and one doesn't, it is in the best interests of the one dissenting player to go along with it. Particularly when the alternative is not finishing the dungeon at all, let alone "as it was intended." My comment was to show that 4 people having disparate goals can in fact work together to the benefit of all parties involved.
