Once again screwed in a dungeon!

Thanks to this item hunt for relic. Those of us with jobs we are trying to level normally are getting screwed out of exp in the dungeons.I no longer have the option to go into a few dungeons now and enjoy running them. The moment I ask people if we could do a exp run, not speed run it for a item, I get kicked out of the dungeon. Finding a party for these dungeons outside of DF is almost impossable.

In my personal opinion this needs to be corrected. An easy fix to do so, would be to make the item unatainable through DF with out first having a preformed party. This would solve the issue of people going after the item, and people trying to level crossing. You could set a option in the DF for people to check that is for leveling or item hunting. (Like the Join in progress button does.) Or just take the thing out of the leveling dungeon all together. Put them in the 50+ dungeons. Look there! A suggestion that would solve the issue with one quick movement of a few lines of code.

the whole point of having the items drop in the low dungeon is to have high level people lvl sync so those exping can get a party to do the dungeons. It would take much longer que times if only those exping were in the party. So that's the problem.

The problem lies in the fact that lv 50s prioritize themselves and give no concern to anyone possibly leveling still. They're not there to help, they're there for tomes, or whatever drop they need for THEIR concerns. Anything else is irrelevant. Thus you get healers tanking, tanks overpulling and overtasking healers who are leveling, overzealous DPS, etc. . . The list goes on.

My motivation to run dungeons, or even get tomes from roulettes has hit an all time low because of this, and that's terrible. Those Solo/GC Party dungeons really need to be a thing soon.

Running dungeons isn't the only way to get exp. You can do fates or levequests OR make a premade party yourself, just as you suggested. Is it really that hard to understand that a person who had to run the same lowlvl dungeon without getting a drop 10-20-30 times in a row wants to get it over with as fast as possible? Can you really blame them?

Doing XP run or not is choice of the whole group BUT you can definately blame them for kicking him.

Like the others said, at least it fastens up your queue... try to take it positive

Conversely, running low level dungeons isn't the only way to get tomes either.
A lot of people are running dungeons for exp and you are cheating them out of it.
How would you feel if you got cheated out of all your tomes?

The system isn't perfect and I know that running the same dungeons over & over is about as exciting as watching grass grow but cheating players out of exp points just to get your tomes is selfish on your part, plain & simple.

Or they could make it so you only get exp in a dungeon if you're in a preformed party, that would have the same effect.

To op did you ever try asking them to slow down so you can xp? Or at least say something of that nature at start of run?

I haven't seen that happen and sorry to see that it has. As Tank, I go through my roulettes and do full clears when I see sub-fiddies. I am not in the hunt for the items that drop for the relic as I never started it. So guess that helps a select few. If all are fiddy then I SR. I was 48MNK when NIN dropped and my Q times before were like 5 mins. It took a full week to get to fiddy (casual play), a damn lvl and a half. That really stunk. Then I started on NIN as it was my last to get to fiddy. At first it was slow, then they introduced the new relic chain, and the Q times went from 30+ to like 5-8 mins. It is a plus, even if it is at a faster pace and you miss out on mobs, however, you get done faster and can re-Q faster to do it again.

Not the best but it's what there is.

It does not help. I waited 30 minutes to get into that dungeon, @5 minutes, they kicked me. And after I had to wait another hour to get back in.

This is a fact. Peoples posts here prove it.

Running dungeons isn't the only way to get exp.
Yes there is, but not everyone like to do fates and or Leve's.

Would be a bad idea to do. Reason being: New players don't know the system or have friends to help. So you'd be screwing they and they'd end up quitting.
