Any typesetting masters here need help! What font is used in the official wallpapers?

With big companies like Square-Enix; They don't really use Font's that already exist for their images and propaganda. They will make their own fonts. While text in the image looks like an existing font; it really isn't. But if you want something close to this minus the XIV; Calibri Font is a close second.

Not necessarily - the traditional FF title font for instance (the main 'FFXIV' title on the top of this forum) is, according to FF Wiki (found here), actually a standard font ('Runic MT Condensed').

As for the ARR specific watermarking font, I'm not sure - it looks like a sans serif style font like Arial, but only SE knows for sure (and it's likely they won't reveal this sadly, due to the risk of people then using that information for copyright violating).
