Healers tanking low level dungeons

I definitely side with the opinion of efficiency here.

I actually see this more frequently than ever it seems.
A tank stands around for a while, party members ask him to go, no responses in chat, improper use of skills, etc.

Are you honestly going to argue that you'll type entire novels of optimistic encouragement to a bad tank, only to possibly receive the reply "No English", or no reply at all, and then continue on waiting for this tank to figure out how to hold their mouse or controller while you waste tens of minutes for them to find their keyboard?

There's a point that you realize someone is incompetent, lost, afk, a bot, or whatever plethora of reasons causes a tank to just stand around for no reason in a dungeon. At this point, it is absolutely acceptable to continue on as their presence is no longer required.

Except, you are ASSUMING that this is a bad tank in question. There is a significant difference between a bad tank and a new tank. Just like there are plenty of bad healers who'd rather assume a tank role, rather than attempting to educate a new or even bad player. What's the hurt in trying?????????

No, people instead assume that the person wont listen and thus bad habits form. Take things on a case by case basis. That's what separates good players from the bad. By you not taking the chance as an experienced player, makes you just as guilty as the bad/new player...

That's what the hell was and still is wrong with most of WoW and other MMO communities...

Read closer in that DF, premade parties don't have to meet the tank/healer/2dps requirements.


I didn't blame him for not tanking, because the stuff hits so weak that having that green box isn't needed to tank. I'm still not seeing what is so horrible about going outside the designed cookie cutter roles for basic content.

Then DON'T queue DF and make a premade party... Don't try to play coy. I'm well aware of the descript in DF requirements I've done 4 WHM dungeon runs before with friends...

It's not about outside the box, it's about helping others that were apparently lost or new...

Do not mistaken many of these examples as the norm where a healer queues for a dungeon to purposely tank everything.

Do not misinterpret what I said. At no point did I say you need to speak English to be a good tank.
I claimed there is no reason to type out multiple paragraphs in party chat under the assumption that the person on the receiving end either understand what you're saying, or gives a shit at all.

Firstly, I did not say everyone. I said you are assuming the tank in question with which you were siding with in your earlier post was a bad tank.

I don't even really feel the need to address the second sentence as that's not even remotely close to anything I said...

Because you should aid in bettering the community rather than being part of the blame for some really bad tanks/healers in end-game content.

Perfect example: This tank you refer to... Say you run into him during the Alexander raid content, the raid fails... but guess what, your two cents some time ago in tam tara, sastasha or w/e could've been the push/drive they needed to study their job more, instead of assuming they are doing things correctly when they are not.

My point is you are aiding the problem, instead of remedying it...

Low level duty roulette can't be done as a premade party, I was doing it for the tome bonus.

If he wanted to talk and ask questions, I would have answered his questions. But he wanted to stand there doing not moving for long periods of time, so I decided to kill some incredibly weak trash mobs while I waited on him to do something.
