I think the real question here is if reaching that magical SKS number for that 9th hit is really more beneficial than focusing on other stats.

This is precisely what I meant - can we model the weight of the Sk Sp needed to get 9 hits on serk versus det/crit to see if we are being silly thinking that having a 9-hit serk is worth it.
