I'm confused about how Classes/Attribute points work.

So does it also lvl my archer past lvl 15 as well? I hate to be a total noob but having not played much in the betas ( cpu issues) I never got to mess will the class/ jobs stuff.

No. It levels only the primary class (the class that you need to be at least 30 in for a specific job). And only the primary class can equip the job stone.

However, if someday you decide to also get the Bard job stone. Bard requires Archer 30, so leveling Archer would level Bard (and vice versa).

It helps to just think of the Jobs as the "final form" of the base classes. As mentioned, there's extremely little reason to swap back; you can think of it just like a name change. No progress in that job is lost.

the only job you should ever consider unequiping job ever for any reason is warrior to marauder (mainly for raging strikes and blood for blood), for higher dps in pvp
