    General game suggesstions :) ....


    Hello!
    Overall I am pretty much enjoying ffxiv, it is not the only MMO i play at present but it certainly is one I hope to play for many years to come ) This will be long errr but its because I do enjoy and like the game that I care enough to try and improve it...at least how I see it !
    This is simply my personal opinion on things and am leaving it here for SE, to hopefully read and consider. Some points are small in scale but I still want to mention all as each item imo makes life in ffxiv more fun, smooth and fluid.

    Housing:

    - all items should be dyeable, fountains to furniture, tree leaves...to rocks and rugs..picture frames, clocks....hotubs....everything

    -at the very least partitions, pillars, ceiling, and all that icky brown baseboard and support pillars needs to be customizable with dye. way too much brown.in gear and housing

    -addition of neutral wall and flooring that also is dyeable

    - remove indoor and outdoor restrictions other then obvious things like the stable, and the garden.

    no reason at all cannon, fountains, ponds,plants, rocks, stepping stones shouldnt be able to be used indoor for design, as well as anything indoor should be able to go outside. Let US create and decide what we want our homes to look like Oo....in a modern MMO scaling when indoors should not be an issue in fact we should already have ability to resize any item to suit our taste.

    -remove 1/estate restrictions

    - incorporate a new UI to include Rifts complexity so that we can use building block items to actually build things. Some premade furniture is great, but every single thing is too simplistic and limiting, and requires absolutely no player creativity. Also need to be able to manipulate, bury, raise, lower, suspend , partially hide items to attain unique results all directional and placement options plz.


    ** I realize this would be alot of work but in the end housing could be engaging and unique. ** there is pretty much 0 creativity in anyones home no matter what "combos" they use it simply cant compare to what should be allowed/possible with building block materials option. It feels very basic atm, please consider adopting a far more creative design.
    -all local decorations/flora etc should be available thats already preseent in each ward.

    - item limits inside and outdoors for ALL home sizes needs to be doubled at least. (in the future IF se can afford to improve server capacity doubling physical yard space for all homes would be nice they are pretty tight imo. ( a complete redesign of lots probably wont happen I know but never hurts to ask)

    -many more small homes available to heavy populated servers

    - need a realistic way to sell a home to another player asap. . this should have been ingame day 1 of housing. IF paranoia over the rmt (that will never go away btw)...then at the very least allow players to resell plots BACK TO GAME NPC ..and no,not for 1/1000th of iinitial cost like every other npc item lol

    -ability to add lights around windows, roof eve, into bushes and trees and indoor as well

    - items to add sparkle and glow to any item indoor or out of various colors and intensities

    - ability to change terrain of yard

    -ability to preview large view of furniture at MB

    -ability to preview with any dye on furniture/gear at MB

    -remove interaction required from lights, fountains ,etc...everything should be active/lit/spewing water/projecting ...etc at all times or at least auto activate every couple min for a few min at a time.

    - auto open fc /personal home front door (auto zone) when entering and leaving if permissions open/are a member

    General:
    -auto updating of MB purchasing so that screens dont need to be reopened constantly after each purchase Oo

    -chocobo out + DF queue needs to happen please

    - ability to break party with chocobo when in towns

    - inability to summon a chocobo + minion pets at the same trime also too restricting

    -ability to dye all gear, most current to oldest, from green dungeon gear to all event gear. Very standard option for a modern mmo. again to me theres too many restrictions/limitations. and NOT needing a million gil item to do so.

    -reatiner venture...far far less fish, in fact remove the single fish or hides please and up the rate of dyes, glamour weapons....somewhat useful items pretty please Oo

    -addition of a BRIGHT bold red dye. the current red metallic is muted and almost crimson on alot of gear.

    -remove heavy from chocobo riding

    - addition of a few shoes/boots with a high heel (doesnt have to be stilletto!...but somewhat higher, very few are feminine... (very personal opinion I know but would love some footwear like that ....dyaeable too btw!)

    -improve credit for solo participation in hunts (i personally like the groups and 99% of time choose that option but for those that dont get invited its simply not right to limit credit to a party

    - replace daily fate requirement for daily hunts with 2 B ranks instead (same 10 reward but would simply speed up the daily to a reasonable time frame)

    -all current content on DF upon release...too much gating (many wont agree but thats ok its simply my opinion)

    - work on some of the mount animation, the horses seem very stiff and choppy as an example

    -addition of another tab for account/server shared macros for use by all characters/server

    -addition of very long hair styles ie/ waist length

    - ability to UNtrack any quest at anytime plz

    - miners/botonists should be immune to aoe damage from other players fighting. orrrrr nodes should never diappear if interrupted.

    - option to choose " auto join/sync fates" or " manual join"

    - aoe limit breaks should auto activate around current target not need to be placed.

    -character limit forum post removal

    SE please consider as many of these as possible, the game is very good imo but theres always room for improvement to be the best ^^

    Just gonna say that just because you think some of these would improve the game, doesn't mean they actually will.

    So anyways -EDITING POST-

    Housing:

    Why should everything NEED to be dyeable? There's a LOT of stuff people don't like to use, not to mention having to have every single dye color for every housing item would more than likely take up a lot of data and/or time, which could be use to improve stuff we NEED.

    I wouldn't be against this, if you were able to make them the same color as the wall paper you put up, bye some colors would just be a huge eye sore for a lot of players

    Maybe if they made them reasonable colors, and nothing eye killing, like mentioned above.


    - Some items would just not be very 'bright' to have indoors. Would you go to a big house/mansion IRL and see people moving 'out door only furniture' inside of their house/bedroom? Or do you even want to see people with beds and the like outside? Again, this makes no real sense.

    - Also why should we be able to resize any item to our taste? Your argument for this isn't very.... there

    THIS IS NOT A SANDBOX GAME! If you wanna build your own furniture, then to play something like second life. Who's to keep players from making R-18 suggestive items in a game like this?

You know they already greatly increased the furnitre limit for smaller houses, and in the bigger houses, if you look around, you'll see a lot of people use more of the bigger furniture with smaller items that go with it, and I haven't really heard of people complaining 'Oh I can't fit this really small thing in my house cause I maxed out on furniture'

    -They're adding more wards every so often depending on how many are bought/demand of them

    - need a realistic way to sell a home to another player asap. . this should have been ingame day 1 of housing.     - ability to change terrain of yard - I could see this being plausable, since your FC does technically own the land it's on, why not be able to change the ground around it, within reason

    -ability to preview large view of furniture at MB - This I wouldn't say no to, since some items I have seen honestly look better as a smaller item than when you place it, and no longer can put it back up for sale

    -ability to preview with any dye on furniture/gear at MB - Again, we don't need everything in game to be dyeable

    -remove interaction required from lights, fountains ,etc...everything should be active/lit/spewing water/projecting ...etc at all times or at least auto activate every couple min for a few min at a time. - this I'm not against, since with the placement of certain items, the game will register it as us clicking them, when we can't even SEE the item on screen

    - auto open fc /personal home front door (auto zone) when entering and leaving if permissions open/are a member - I could see this happening by accident, and it could get annoying for some people.

    General:

    -chocobo out + DF queue needs to happen please- They've already stated that it would take beyond long to even attempt to pull this off, due to the chocobo being the same yet different than a party member, along with them being 'removed' yet 'still out' while you're in a dungeon

    - ability to break party with chocobo when in towns - You can, it's called the 'withdraw option' on your companion page

    - inability to summon a chocobo + minion pets at the same trime also too restricting - You know the half hour time limit is not bad at all, because originally they made it where the higher in rank your chocobo was, the shorter the timer was. Every level I lost like 3 minutes with my chocobo.

    -ability to dye all gear, most current to oldest, from green dungeon gear to all event gear. Very standard option for a modern mmo. again to me theres too many restrictions/limitations. and NOT needing a million gil item to do so. - Yeah, to YOU that is restricting. And some items would just be stupid to dye. Monocles, 'weathered' i100 items (Since you can dye them when they're i110 from the soldiery shop), many accessories (Which are colored based on what stats they have)

    -reatiner venture...far far less fish, in fact remove the single fish or hides please and up the rate of dyes, glamour weapons....somewhat useful items pretty please Oo - Ok so you don't like the fact you have a chance to get crap from them, and only want good stuff. Yeah, that sounds totally fair #sarcasm

    -remove heavy from chocobo riding- you still move faster on a chocobo when you're heavy'd than when you're just walking/sprinting (Personally I use this -> http://xivdb.com/?item/6140/Gysahl-Ring since heavy resistance, rank X 18 hour venture possible drop)

    - addition of a few shoes/boots with a high heel (doesnt have to be stilletto!...but somewhat higher, very few are feminine... (very personal opinion I know but would love some footwear like that ....dyaeable too btw!) - I could see them adding stuff like that in glamours, and wouldn't be against them being dyed, since a lot of people love when their shoes match their top.

    -improve credit for solo participation in hunts (i personally like the groups and 99% of time choose that option but for those that dont get invited its simply not right to limit credit to a party) - The Hunt is supposed to be a GROUP EFFORT, otherwise you'd be promoting ninja pullers, since they'd be able to get the reward without helping others and they'd just run off when they did enough 'credit' in the fight.

    - replace daily fate requirement for daily hunts with 2 B ranks instead (same 10 reward but would simply speed up the daily to a reasonable time frame) - This isn't explained too well

    -all current content on DF upon release...too much gating (many wont agree but thats ok its simply my opinion) - So you want people to be able to jump ahead and go into dungeons they're not prepared for/skilled enough for yet? They have the level limits to make people improve their skills/ect

    - work on some of the mount animation, the horses seem very stiff and choppy as an example - I agree with this, but honestly it has almost no impact on the game, and they have bigger stuff to worry about.

    -addition of another tab for account/server shared macros for use by all characters/server - I keep all my macros saved on a series of notepad files with them properly named, but I could really see how this would help people not playing on a PC

    -addition of very long hair styles ie/ waist length - Really bad clipping/would look horrible

    - ability to UNtrack any quest at anytime plz - Other MMO RPGs have this, and I actually wouldn't mind it. since right now we only have the ability to quit a quest entirely to hide it from our bar, and to hide it altogether, would include the fate progress/level sync stuff, as well as dungeon timers

    - miners/botonists should be immune to aoe damage from other players fighting. orrrrr nodes should never diappear if interrupted. - If you carry a cordial with you, that recovers 300 GP, and with your base GP without gear being over 300, I don't see why you can't bother to pull the enemies away from the node and quickly kill them before gathering

    - option to choose " auto join/sync fates" or " manual join" - A lot of hunts appear where fates are, and you could get royally owned if you forgot you had that on

    - aoe limit breaks should auto activate around current target not need to be placed. - You know this would actually ruin a lot of stuff in instances (Like in Levi EX where you need to hit all 4 spumes with the mage LB3)

    -character limit forum post removal - this has been suggested I don't know how many times, but it's been up a lot. It's honestly not that big of a deal to just edit your post
