So... Who else invested in Materia?
So... Who else invested in Materia?
How does it make it p2w?
It's all Gil, so... It isn't real money.
That makes no sense. I can see an argument either way in favor of crafters vs raiders... But neither is anything close to p2w.
BC III has plenty of use and not enough ways to get it.Battle IIIs have almost no use at the moment if you look at the trends.
So yea i'm predicting the Platinum Ingot combined with the Battle III and perhaps a new 4star Gathering node material similar to Rubies, Diamonds, etc.
Primal materia will most likely make a return when they increase the Desynthesis skill to 400 and allow i100-i110 gear to be desynthed (leviathan, Ramuh, shiva). These new Primal demi materia could then be used to craft i115 (Materia slotted) Primal weapons (4.5Star Craft) similar to the previous ones. Or perhaps even a new type of Primal Armor that glows?
Spitballing but meh.
A lot more people would like to have crafted primal weapons but with the limited supply of BCIII and each weapon needing 10 BCIII... Ain't gonna happen.

Oh yes, of course I meant quickarm, slip of the brain.
I mean, I like flash, but I don't like it that much!
Anyways, pretty awesome to see they offered a little variation to the secondaries. With my sizeable amount of strength material saved up, the earrings (accuracy) and bracelets (crit) will do well.
Earrings I'll probably do strength 4, strength 4, quickarm 4, strength 3, quickarm 3. I'll ha E to do an accuracy 4 most likely on the bracelets, but that should leave a lot of option open on the other three accessories as far as slaying pieces go. Not so strapped for accuracy and skill speed with the melds.
There are unsanctioned means to convert real money into gil. If the accessories are way too good, it'll require min/maxers to spend millions of gil to meld them.
I'm pretty happy that the accessories are relatively cheap, it looks like materia prices are skyrocketing. I saved up a bunch of STR IV materia and it looks like they'll pay off for me now. Like another poster said, the earrings and bracelets look great (No Parry/SS).

Can someone post the secondary stats of each? I just did a search of the necklace quickly this morning and saw it was SkSp so assumed it was all skill speed? Anyone have the time and feel nice enough to post the stats of all the dps and tank accessories? There are unsanctioned means to convert real money into gil. And on what basis are you saying they will be cheap?
And I bought 12 VIT 4s and 2 Savage Might 4s about a week ago expecting a profit of about 1mil. We'll see how fast they actually sell....
EDIT: I will post those if i can get my desktop streamer working while I am out of the house.

The ones that have Crit will be dirt cheap to meld.

Heh, didn't see those in the data base when I looked 25 mins ago. Thanks.
Can anyone confirm that the HQ vit accessories reach 21 vit, and that the HQ dps accessories reach 18 str? Going to work under that assumption for now, but 17 to 21 is a big jump and I could see them not capping main stats on these to make them less powerful.

The stats vary depending on the accessory, its not the exact same for all pieces like the ruby/topaz accessories were. Can someone post the secondary stats of each? The accessories are cheap to craft because they only use 1 of the new crafting material: Allagan Catalyst. There are many ways to get this material:
1) Drops from a chest in ST and CT
2) It's a guaranteed reward for a one time quest and is also a guaranteed reward for a weekly quest along with Carboncoat (do all 3 CT raids per week to get it)
3) You can acquire it by desynthing high level battle gear.
With all the methods of obtaining this material, the price of this material should be quite low. The other mats are platinum ingots, gems (rubies, topaz, etc), and battlecraft Demimateria III. BCIII spiked up in price today for obvious reasons but should settle back down to a manageable price. You need 2 BCIIIs per accessory. I think there's some cashmere material used for the choker, I'm not sure if that's expensive or not.
I think if you wait towards the end of this week and have a good friend that's a 4* GSM (or are one yourself), the accessories can be had for a relatively reasonable price. The real cost is in melding them. VIT IV materia is blowing up in price because of this. STR IV will soon follow (if it hasn't already).
