I remember starting in FFXI and getting scolded for taking a persons node. One of my first experiences in that game lol. Also FFXI Fishing...200 fish cap per day with diminishing quality after about 100, or was it 250?
In EQ2 well...lemme put it this way: They actually felt justified in adding more t2 nodes than there were actually mobs in some of the zones.
Due to the amount of players gathering? I wish SE would have done that...some of the zones that had mining in them had maybe 3-4 nodes. Other areas did have more but you still fought over them quite often.
Turn in HQ gathered stuff to your GC daily. Even if you have to buy from mb. Extra bonus if it's starred too.
Still better than fishing. I had to force myself to complete that, whereas with Miner and Botanist I find it easier to do them. Then again, you're not sitting in the same spot for hours at a time and are actually moving around and using different skills.Well it is even post exp buff it's still a mind numbing experience. You literally run around 4 or so nodes to get X amount of the levequest item and then the thing ends. You repeat this over and over again til you hit 50. It's just as boring as it was in 1.0 just now you aren't running 800 miles between nodes with disciples of the land maps up to find where the possible shit is.
nope i would never have done it. 1.0 was a horrible design. you also shouldnt assume we "dont have a clue" whats tedious and mind numbing to me might not be for another person.
My favorite was getting verbally assaulted for going to nodes that another miner had been "saving up"
I leveled my miner from 30 to 50 with provisioning, bot 46 - 50 with provisioning and fishing 25 - 41 with provisioning.
Generally only turned in hq items when they were reasonably priced on the mb. It took a while but considering I never had to actually go out and do gathering leves I'm pretty happy with the result and it took very little effort, basically just go to GC and check what items are needed and then buy them off MB and turn them in once a day.
All said and done I would say I made enough from my daily dungeons gil wise to afford the items I had to turn in on the mb.
For people who simply like jobs at 50 but don't like gathering and find it useless I highly recommend provisioning.
