Class Change While Duty Finder Does Its Job

I wasn't sure where to put this, as I couldn't find an area for game suggestions - only forum suggestions. Perhaps I'll suggest a Game suggestion thread in the forum suggestion thread... But that's a matter for another time.

What I was here for in the first place is relatively simple: The ability to change class while the duty finder, for want of a better word, finds a duty.

I am a level 50 WHM, working on upgrading my gear to at least i110. Which I am enjoying, I only have the one complaint. My other classes are severely lacking.. I had hoped to train up my Bard while working on my gear upgrades. It worked nicely. I had my healer role set in the Duty finder, waiting for a team to be found for Syrcus Tower and I switched my class over to Bard. Everything was lovely. I was getting exp for Bard, and waiting patiently. About 40 minutes in, though, the duty finder popped up and asked if I was ready. I confirmed, and was then disciplined for changing class and my entry was withdrawn.

It is so easy to change class, especially with the Gear Set List. I am unsure why there couldn't be an automated system, where I could train up my Bard and when the duty finder is ready - I confirm, and the game automatically switches me to my WHM gear set so I'm ready to do the duty. Then I switch back afterwards and train up my Bard.

I have spoken to multiple people, and they all share this concern.

Do what the textbox tells you : be ready, that means be in the job you registered in.

Change class BEFORE clicking that you are ready and all should went well...

Actually, I think there is even a red marking indicating that your current job is inappropriate for the duty

You have to be ready. If you changed class while being in Duty Finder on the one you wanted, you have to change back to that initial job or you will not be allowed to enter, that means not having any sort of PVE enmity or crafting before you can change back. To allow a change of class without these rules just does not fit the way DF was supposed to work, sorry.

I don't see much difference in changing class seconds before confirming that you're ready, and having it done automatically - apart from the inconvenience. :\ I, for one, have very little time to play this game as it stands. It's a slightly bitter way of playing when I can't do multiple things at once - I must either wait for Duty Finder to upgrade my gear OR level other classes. It takes away from the RPG style of play if I can't do what I want to do.

You do realize you can easily change classes, then confirm? I switch classes while in df all the time, and it's not an automatic withdrawal. You still have the full 45 seconds to finish crafting\killing, then change gear sets. You must be new

Well, if OP's suggestion went through, you'd be able to accept queue while in combat/etc. You can already do that if you're on the same job you queued up with, but not if you need to change jobs first.
