Thread: 2.5 and Poetics...

I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned, but isn't 2.5 and the release of a new CT about the time when we get our top currency cap removed and introduced to a new one? I doubt they'd introduce a new one this close to the expansion, but I haven't heard anything about the poetic cap so was curious if you guys think they'll remove the cap sometime in 2.5 so people can start gearing up and clearing stuff before the expansion hits.

No. Myth was taken out long after ST had become largely irrelevant aside from sand/oil.

Pretty sure poetic cap will stay as as it is now.

While I agree that the expansion will likely be there time when they give us a new tomestone, I do not think they will remove the weekly cap until 2.55 at the earliest. This is because 2.55 seems like the logical time for them to remove the loot lockout for WoD and with that giving players unlimited access to i120 gear. In doing that, it would not make sense for them to keep the cap on poetics. Which is why I think that then is the time they will remove it.

poetic cap will probably be take out before the expansion, why? because it will be pointless to maintain a lock out on a content that will be irrevelant with the 10 more level.

If they took out the poetics cap early, they would have to remove loot restrictions on World of Darkness early too, and Final Coil restrictions. None of this would happen until the expansion if we are following usual patterns. You can't get unrestricted access to gear until it is already irrelevant and there's a superior gear level with its own restrictions in place above it.

Perhaps the better question is: will they increase the weekly cap?
