    DF zombies.

So as of lately I have been running the adventurer in need in the DF for the bonus to gear up Ms Freebush. I never really had any issues with people in dungeons, well atleast until I knew what a tank was suppose to do (my first mmo).

Has repeated dungeon runs turned people into zombies? Whenever the dungeon launches I always say my hello, and ask what is the expectation. I can't do large speed run pulls, but I can go fast, slow, full clear or straight on to the boss. Most of the time, no reply, they just take off. At certain points throughout the dungeon I will ask how everyone is doing, do we need to change up anything, most of the time nothing. My last run on Brayflox last night, I did a little test, didn't say anything at the start, just to see. Sure enough not a peep out of anyone the whole time. Zombies.

Is this what the grind has turned people into? Is it really worth it in the end for a piece of gear, to turn you into something like that? Just seems alot of folks are miserable playing the game, like the actual fun of gaming was lost. Is this what happens in other MMO's? This is probably the only one I'll ever own, I do very much enjoy playing it and helping out people, but there sure seems to be alot of mute angry people in it.

PF doesn't look much better, judging by alot of the comments I see in there. Has this game turned into a job for most people, or is this the norm for MMO's? Atleast in other games with general chat enabled you could yell at one another and have some semblance that you are playing with another human being.

To be cruel, most people just won't communicate to begin with. If you're running dungeons all day (like I've been doing to level nin) you usually atleast wanna have some fun with the other people in your duty, right? Fuckin' annoying when no one communicates in any way then ends up being terrible skill-wise anyway. Like c'mon Brayflox is NOT T9 LOL. But yeah, lazy people not being aware of the fact they are playing an MMO with other people, not just themselves. Pretty sure that's why people had trouble with Ramuh EX too. Easy fight but you had to be aware of other people. - Something most cannot even fathom doing..

Maybe I'm just a little scorn.

You have to understand that you are forced to run these damn dungeons for everything multiple times; furthermore any time you are talking in dungeons is time wasted not moving further in the dungeon, and also you will probably die if you are not dodging stuff.

I'm typically polite enough to say a, "hello" at the start and a, "thanks for the run" at the end. Beyond that, though, I find little need for communication in random DF parties. It's probably the biggest downfall of the cross-server match system they have: you're grouped up with people you'll probably never see again. There's no motivation to be chatty or get to know anyone through DF.

This is the result of the character development and battle designs SE have chosen, no, not every MMO is like this, but in the last years more and more people play just to achieve a reward for their need of instant gratification, instead of playing contents because it's fun.

It's not the game what turned us into zombies, it is the player-base what turned MMOs in zombie making machines.

Thats what I mean about the grind, if this is what happens, I may just stay at my iLvl 100 and chill. As for speaking, I'm not talking about a life story while doing battle, when I ask things its either at the start or in between mobs. I don't want to turn into that if thats what going for the higher end gear means. Its too bad that its designed like this, surely there has to be a better way.

I have played some mmos and this game takes the prize in unsocial players. I think PS3/PS4 might have something to do with it. I don't know how it is to type on console but one of my friends stands still for ages just to type "okay"
I kinda wish they had their own servers. Oh and also I only get people who don't speak english in my groups. So if a group is chatty it's always chatty in a language I don't understand.
People who don't speak english should have their own server too!

I don't know about all servers but on Tonberry and everyone else in the data centre pretty much we always at least do greetings, at the very lest in auto-translate .

Nice to meet you, Let's do it is what you see at the start of the run. Usually Yoroshikudesu, in multiple ways, sometimes just Yo- XD.

Whilst that sounds practical, I don't think it'd work in reality. Almost every European country has it's own language. Imagine how empty the servers would be ! :^(

I know the generic response to PS players is to just get a keyboard. I am on a PS4, before I invested $25 on a keyboard I just made up some generic type macros for greetings and such.
