    This is such a weird thing to complain about, and then act like you don't know the cause.
    No, I don't feel particularly chatty after doing 20 qarn hms or aurum vales in a row trying to get an item, 19 of which probably had players that were barely smart enough to press 1, 2 and 3 on their keyboards.

    Didn't think of it as a complaint when I wrote it. Merely an observation, and to ask what others thought on the matter. As I also stated that this is the only MMO I have played, and many people here have played others. I was curious if this was normal in the other games as I do not know the systems or community of those games.

    It may be prevalent in most MMOs, but it is amplified here by the design. Forcing players to go back and do old, irrelevant content they've already been through in new patches does not really foster a sense of good will in a lot of people. We just want to get it done and get back to relevant content.

    The RNG makes it even worse. "Go back and do all of the old dungeons" would be better than "go back and do these 10 or so old dungeons 10+ times each and pray to rngesus." It makes people frustrated, duty finder players make people frustrated, and so some people just sit silently hoping they stop hating their life in whatever duty finder they get next. And the relic grind has gotten more and more ridiculous that it's hard to find friends to do the content with that haven't given up on it. On top of that, the fact that party members get zodiac item drops separately means that even preforming your parties doesn't hold up cause eventually you break it or keep running the same dungeons you got your items from.

    Obviously this is something newly implemented, but it's based on the same design philosophy in this game. "Grind this same easy, mindless dungeon/fate/whatever over and over again to get thing X so you can do content Y." It's made even worse by the fact that it was changed after launch, when it started out as "do this fun, challenging content to get thing x to do content y." (Primal clearing for zenith). It was the change to make content mindless grinding that created these zombies.

    Yeah I find most people don't talk, even a Hello at the start has become rare. This is why I wish SE would make Hunt worthwhile to do again, it was nice doing hunts for comms and capping my soldiery while doing them. It felt like a breath of fresh air to not have to step into a dungeon to cap my tomes, now I do the bare minimum of dungeons. One expert roulette per day and I cap. I'm hoping hunts will give more poetics come 2.5 and I can go back to not doing dungeons at all.

    You mean the lovely "talks" people had where a pull "too early" had vulgarities as common as a hello?

    what people dont realize is that, in order to reach your goal, you need the others, and the others need you, that is what a group is meant to be. I am not sure why people prefer to be rude and impolite, condescending, plain and simple said stupid when they talk, as opposed to be friendly, cooperative, understanding, and to an extend, although saying hi and hello cant be considered that, talkative, it would ease the atmosphere, makes people feel less zombies and would probably give an incentive in working faster and better in an environnement that tends towards easing the atmosphere rather then making it more heavy. Everybody would gain at it...but nope is too complicated.. People only speak when they have to insult, demean and be plain rude or almightly...How dumb....

    I play on PS4 (with a controller) so is somewhat clumsy to write quickly, but I always say "hello" and "thanks". E always answer when someone talks to me.

    It's a fact that these people being matched up if duty finder are purely random and heck is, the chances of meeting those people again are somewhat low considering the server difference, i've never actually met same players more than 3 times.. So mommy has said that we shouldnt talk to stranger, who knows that when i talk, it turns out to be bad mouthing drama (happens ocassionally).. So why bother? That's the main point actually..

    Irl, how many times have you greet, chit chat or even having a conversation wih taxi drivers, cashiers, etc?

    Well, in my case, I'm in a dungeon not for fun but to complete an objective. The only time I'm in these dungeons for fun, is when they first are released. Poetic/Soldiery farming zapped any entertainment most of us have from these dungeons.
    0/13 on Sastasha (Hard Mode) would have anybody angry and focused on swift clears.
