Can someone give me an in-depth explanation why Summoner is arguably the worst DPS?

I would say that SMN and BLM have very close single target DPS.

Well, SMN is better than BLM on the opener burst but then it goes downhill from there after 3mins because CDs/mana or a tonshit of adds spawning. It makes sense that BLM should be doing insane AOE burst, because that's what makes the class fun anyway, but what about what makes summoner fun to play?

IMO, the focus should be on balancing single target in a standstill fight/target dummy.

Exactly, even if it's minimal for now. I agree that summoner is pretty cool on certain fights like T1, leviathan, ramuh and even titan, but blackmage is never too far behind at all on those either. I mean, when second coil was a pain for blackmage and let's be very honest about it, blackmage wasn't really that far behind at all, like really at all. Yet, they buffed them by quite much, now when it's reversed, there is nothing much to do?

Anyone else notice the number of posts by the NA GM's compared to the other regions GM's is kinda light and only about the current valentines event? I mean I know they can't post in everything and, well, everything, but did some lalafell send the GM's a sleep potion disguised as Valentine punch?
