Element attribute and WS damage

Can anyone save me a few hours testing and tell me if for example a higher lightning element attribute will increase storms path weapon skill damage?

with broken stat is quite difficult know it. I don't even know if ws have elemental attributes like spells do

I don't think it would since the description says it does Slashing damage, not any kind of element. Iron Tempest outright says Wind damage so it would be boosted by affinity.
