In an effort to encourage people working on their Nexus relic to participate in content other than hard mode primals, all content will now only give 1 light.

To resolve mercenary service, mobs in instance can only be killed when there is one player standing.. Loots will be given to the last player standing and quest objective will be fulfilled when player is alive at the kill..
In an effort to address the current shortage of small houses we wont be adding any new wards.
To resolve an issue where some players were temporarily unable to login due to a full login queue, all Worlds will enter into emergency maintenance. During the emergency maintenance, all players will be disconnected. As a result, there will be no login queues.
In order to Solve the Surplus of money Issue, SE will now remove everyones Gil. and set Everyone to Zero Gil
Also Removing everyones Allag Coins in case any1 was saving them incase SE did this.
In order to encourage more creative playstyles, all cross-class abilities have had their restrictions abolished. In preparation for this, only the following skills will be cross-class:
GLD: Riot Blade
MRD: Fracture
PGL: Second Wind
LNC: Impulse Drive
ROG: Aeolian Edge
ARC: Hawk's Eye
ACN: Virus
CNJ: Aero
THM: Surecast
Choose wisely.
The issue of Mudra Lag has been addressed. Mudras will now have a one second casting time.
RNG issues have been resolved. We've been hearing reports of people getting these items in a period of time that is not in-line with what the development team expected. As such, all items that were previously RNG will now be awarded after a flat 50 attempts to get it have been made. Loot tables remain unchanged.
It's been determined that personal housing is prohibitively expensive. In order to resolve this a system has been put into place where a player may work to build their own house, rather than buy one with gil. The materials for these houses will be 4-star craftable items. The recipes will be purchasable from Talan for 30 Mastercraft Demimateria. A total of 10,000 Galvanized Nails, 5,000 Pressure Treated Lumber, 2,000 Kiln-Fired Tile, and 1,000 Roofing Shingles must be crafted (All HQ) and turned in to the Housing Foreman on an empty plot.
We've been hearing reports of certain classes out-performing others. From this point forward there will be a hard-cap on your DPS based on your item level. Abilities that deal damage beyond this hard-cap will instead report a result of Ineffective.
In order to stimulate the economy and drive down the price of high-level materia, a system is being put in to place where you may increase the level of materia through Bonding. All materia will now start at Tier one and through Bonding, increased in level. A new catalyst is required for this process (Called Aether Soaked Matter) that can be gathered as a rare item in unspoiled nodes. To increase the level of the materia it must be Bonded with another materia of the same Tier. Success rate is determined by the Tier in the following manner: Tier 1: 80%, Tier 2: 50%, Tier 3: 20%. Failure results in the loss of one or both materia as well as the catalyst.

Call me crazy... but I kind of like this idea, maybe if it were a little more restrictive somehow it may actually be something worth considering. In order to stimulate the economy and drive down the price of high-level materia, a system is being put in to place where you may increase the level of materia through Bonding. Remove the Tier 1 starting point for all materia, so people can still follow the Spirit Bonding route if they choose--the goal would be an alternative path for the less dedicated.
As the tiers go up, require more materia: Tier 2 needs 2ea. of Tier 1, Tier 3 needs 3ea of Tier2, and Tier4 needs 4ea of Tier3.
It could be something that is quest driven to unlock---could be some outlandish quest requirements to complete it, and afterwards it has to be done through an NPC as well.
Just little oddball tweaks like that to put the brakes on it so it doesn't get abused to the point it completely breaks the market.

Personally I thought the idea of this thread was genius. :P I really wanted to make my entries into something that were actually totally plausible, but clearly not good over all. That way, if a dev does happen to look at my ideas here and use one, or were planning on doing something similar, they'd already know that at least I, and likely much of the community already feels it's a bad idea. :P Most of the entries I've seen in here are so obviously bad that I think it goes beyond the point of the thread. lol
Plus, I do have a tendency to think like an evil, maniacal game developer... lol
I actually think this isn't such a terrible system either, just needs a lot of tweaking to make it worthwhile! The way I presented it really isn't much different than how it is now. Obviously it's worse because you have such a high rate of failure (We all know that an 80% success rate in this game fails about 60% of the time...), and the rarity of the catalyst is just asking for RMT exploitation!Call me crazy... but I kind of like this idea, maybe if it were a little more restrictive somehow it may actually be something worth considering.

I get that a lot too. Some people just don't like fun.
Let me add something before I drag this too far off topic.
To allieviate concerns that people could be too well geared or under geared, armor has been removed from the game.
To address the situation that players may sell runs to people, and in an effort to stop FMS (see OP :P), all raids now cost 500K to enter per attempt.
This scares me......why give them ideas.
