This was requyested way back when they added waymarks, and the dev response was no because it wasn't meant to be able to mark every location in a fight.

The response was more to the tune of "if we added additional waymarkers, we would need to design content in a way that would make use of them."

In other words, if your strategy requires more than 3, you are complicating things unnecessarily. Rethink your strategy to make the most of what you have now.

This is upto the players to decide, not you or SE. You cannot place your own personal limitation to other people, doesnt work like that. Other groups can grasp it a lot better, people just dont want to have to body pull or take longer then needed to explain when more markers speed up the process.
