I fully understand the point made here, you guys have a lot on your plate and the list keeps getting bigger and bigger. But, I feel that FF is one MMO that can draw on whole lot of extraordinary mini games, that frankly other games cannot. In both FFXI and FFXIV, for some players, there is a significant amount of down-time in between battle with others and doing some solo gathering/crafting. Often times when I log on, I want a break, not from FFXIV, but from the normal routine. Other times, there are just short breaks while waiting on people to do a dungeon for example. Either would allow some very interesting minigames, gambling in Ul'dah or Tetra Master with random people waiting at camps.

But, I would just like to say, an in-game Tetra Master never made it into FFXI. Even though there has always been a resounding want on the part of the players, it was never really implemented. You could almost bring FF8's card game directly into FFXIV, and it would be a great addition. I just really hope that you guys embrace the community on this one

It would be nice to see some fun dynamic mini-games. Hopefully not as dull & system-limited like FF11.

Thanks for replying, I fully understand, along with most other players, that the dev team has quite a lot on their plate at the moment. While we don't want to rush them or anything like that, it would be great to have something like this slated for work sometime down the road. But please, be sure to convey that we don't just want a couple minor mini games tossed in at random, we want something like the golden saucer in FFVII, a full fledged entertainment center for mini games, choco racing, cards, etc. A place where all the adventurers of FFXIV can kick off the dusty boots of battle, crafting, and gathering, and socialize/play, whether it be solo, with friends, or while meeting new people. It's not in any rush, so tell them to take their time if they do decide to do such a thing. But please don't forget about it completely, it would be so fun to have such a novelty in an MMO for once.
