How bad do you find the mudra lag? Even with a vpn, i find it under performing compared to my drg with similar gear, which is extremely annoying as i really wanted to main this class. How are we supposed to improve when our internet connection determines how much damage a ninja can do?

It's not just you guys who are experiencing it. I'm in Japan and the mudra lag post 2.45 is appalling. Then again as of late around this time I post I've been getting booted from the game for no reason. Not my internet either as I can pull up videos and it auto sets it to 720p and is fully loaded almost right away or I get about 9mb dl on a steam game. They fucked up something that's all I know.

The only time I mess up my mudras is when I forget about them and I do Mutilate instead of my Ninjutsu >.>. If you like NIN then you just have to deal with the abilities the way they are, you play your job because it is your job and because you like it.

People shouldn't have to deal with the way they are. This is a failure on SE's part to make it to where anyone anywhere can use the same job whether they're next door to the server or in Australia. They know about this issue but have gone on the record saying they don't give a crap at the moment. They need to be held accountable for such a half assed system they put in place.

Some days it's better than others for me. It really wasnt that bad until 2.45 now it's just awful. Ive been practicing and can do a little better with it now but its far too easy for the lag to mess it up and waste the 20second cooldown as it is.

Press 1-2-3, then Ninjutsu, well at least that was the plan. In reality, when there is a spike, you press 1-2-3, it will be either 2-3,1-3 or even only 1 or 2 or 3. So either you waste extra time, in turn reduce your DPS,to track down the correct order, if not fix it or accept the bunny which is also stupid and lower your DPS. Either way, your DPS will never be as high as it should be, optimally.

Solution to Mudra lag, as an Australian Ninja:
-Press first mudra in the combo you wish to use.
-wait a a half second for Mudra buff to apepar on your effect bar.
-Press the next two Mudras as fast as you like.
-wait a half second for the effect to apply proper.
-Now you can Ninjutsu.

The total time is around 2 seconds. Less than a standard action, but not perfect by any means. This is how i get my Ninjutsu's to trigger perfectly, every time.

By doing so in the process, you lost HIP of your DPS. No kidding. And you are screwed if there is suddenly lag spike

iIdid say it wasn't perfect.
You lose more by screwing yourself out of your intended Ninjutsu for 20 seconds.

Ideal opening rotation you would end up losing 4 seconds according to this and then another 2 seconds on what should be your 3rd mudra cast before a Huton recast. The ideal rotation with minimal delay, time to get that 3rd one in before it ticks to 20 seconds.
