Square, can you Poetic tomes be converted into Soldiery when capped for the week?

See the title. Should be "Square, can Poetic tomes be converted into Soldiery when capped for the week?"

Right now, I am capped on Poetics for the week (450/450)... and say I run Snowcloak which gives 50 Soldiery and 40 Poetics as reward.

This change would allow the 40 Poetics Snowcloak gives to be turned into 40 Soldiery.. Thereby giving the dungeon a reward of 90 Soldiery. This would give people reasons to continue running dungeons/roulettes/everything else even when they are capped for the week.

It would be nice if we could have at lest 20% of them be converted to soldiery rather than just going to waste or just convert it into gil.

Agreed. I'm just 15 away from cap, and it's been that way since the second day, and that was just from playing normally, not even trying to rush to cap.

I support this. It doesn't have to be a 1:1 ratio, 1:0.5 would be enough to make me happy.

Not saying it's a bad idea, just that it tends to come up for each new wave of tomes.

Player's Advocate: This is something that has been suggested over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over ... etc again. they already have the conversion rate from when they introduce new tomes so why not just have it be an automatic thing when you are capped on the current top tier tome.

Devil's Advocate: They would drop the drop rate for the lower tomes to compensate for the increase in the drop rate from capped people. This would in turn hurt players that are not capped or are just farming lower tomes and not wanting to try and crap the higher ones.

at best we could probably hope to get it converted at 1/4 the tomes (10sold instead of 40 poetics). Be more in line with what happens when a tome gets removed from the game. Which would still be helpful... at least better then nothing.

While I would support conversion, I would really like to see them ease the poetics weekly cap a bit. At least to the point of covering the earnings from Daily Expert. If you only get tomes from running Expert, you cap in 6 days...so there will always be one day wasted with the current system. If it was just raised to 500, that would make a difference.

But.. SE has this thing about artificially locking progression. So, not gonna hold my breath for either option.

They seem to increase the drop rate in some way after a long time. usually a few updates before new ilvl is introduced. Here's the process I've seen so far. Philosophy was a hassle to get(spam WP/CM to buy darklight), myth was capped but worse. Bonus's were later given to philosophy(I think it was simply the introduction of roulette). Philosophy then retired, Myth now a hassle to get, Soldiery capped and worse. Myth increased what we were getting before it was phased out, like freaking 300 on main story, or something dumb? Myth is retired. Soldiery a hassle to get, Poetics capped but worse(see how they slowed acquisition in hunts, compared to what myth was). Next logical step, likely the jan 20 update. Soldiery bonus, to help people gear up, Poetics still much of the same. It's true we complained about the rate we were getting tomes in the past, but they were actually increased for a time, but when a tome is retired and a new one introduced acquisition of gear slows down for awhile. This has been my observation so far at least.
