it isnt everywhere the same...one party wanting the divorce is enough one can deny it but it best have good motives because otherwise the cost will be very high...VERY high for that one that didnt want to grant itLike in real life /I'm not so sure if JPN is one those countries/ you NEED both parties to agree to the divorce and sign the paper otherwise you will continue to be legally married. I'm guessing that system is just easy to implement in game. Next time get in a party and you both go together and divorce.
As I said one of those countries(US is a different stoey).They can deny it all they want and pretend to be in love and still their supreme Court won't allow you to divorce cuz there is a chance of reconciliation.
@ Niwashi you can divorce and remarried, but until you remarry in game, the ring of the other person will continue working.
